Fish Mobile

This is a very easy craft that we made during the Easter holiday break. Both of my children love fishes and so we decided to make this fish mobile to hang it in our conservatory. We spent at least 20 minutes to colour all the fishes and took me around 10 minutes to thread them into this simple yet beautiful fish mobile.

Ocean Puppet Play Box

Can you believe it is April already? This is my fourth challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Ocean. I have received a crafting box packed with seashells, sand coloured paint and many more. So my children decided to make an ocean puppet play box.

Sensory Play with Cra-Z-Sand

Sensory play is a great way to stimulate children’s five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing. Through these activities, it would naturally help children to learn to play, create, investigate and explore. Cra-Z-Sand is just perfect for the job as it is easier to clean up than the real sand and it is non-toxic.

Tegu Magnetic Wooden Blocks Review

Recently through Toyella, a multi-award winning toy retailer, I found these fascinating magnetic wooden blocks called Tegu. Both my children are fascinated with constructing things and making different type of models so this is really ideal for them. Tegu is taking constructing traditional buildings to a new level of fun and excitement! With its embedded invisible magnets inside the hardwood blocks, building can be so engaging and delightful.

How To Make Mask

Make Time 2 Play aims to give parents FREE play ideas that can be easily slotted in to busy schedules. It was established in 2007 to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives. It is administered by the British Toy and Hobby Association whose members are committed to promoting the benefits that play has in helping children to develop naturally through play. The campaign highlights the value that play has for people of all ages and information can be found throughout the website on why it is such a vital ingredient for healthy child development. Today, we are making a mask using the list of 101 play ideas from Make Time 2 Play.

Making Music

Making music by using four wine glasses (this is all we had) and a jug of water. We filled the glasses with different quantities of water. Then I asked the children to wet their finger tips and rub against the rim of the glasses. It makes a beautiful sound.
