Ms C on Wilko Packaging

Early April, Ms C went for her modelling job and now her photo has hit the shelves! I think it has been there for quite some time but I forgot to look out for it! I found that she is on the Wilko Play: Ice Cream and Waffle Dough Set and also on the Cleaning Trolley.

Ms C in Vertbaudet Autumn/Winter Dress

I still remember this time last year, we went to Manchester to do an Autumn/Winter commercial shoot for Vertbaudet.  If you missed it, watch Ms C here.   I am so pleased to get a dress from their new catalogue to review.  This gorgeous pink dress is reversible – it’s like getting two dresses for…

Mr K is on BBC1 Doctors!

A few months ago, I posted that Mr K is starring in BBC1 Doctors. It was aired this afternoon and I was excited for him! I was very pleased that he looked so natural on TV. We were all ready and sat in front of the TV. When it was on, Mr K was so embarrassed that he ran off. He is too shy and self-conscious to see himself on TV.

Modelling for Wilkinsons Plus

Last week, Alan Sharman agency phoned us to inform us that Miss C was chosen for a company photo shoot. I was so pleased for her. Anyway, we finally got the confirmation last Friday.

Final Day for BBC Doctors at Birmingham University

I can not believe today is his last day of shooting BBC Doctors. It has gone so quick. Today, he had only 3 scenes all shot on location at Birmingham University. The BBC team started late but it didn’t take them too long to set up the scene. It was quite a quick in and out of the door. Mr K was so distracted looking at the furry microphone that our chaperone had to keep asking him to look down.
Soon after we were all invited to have lunch over the canteen in the university itself. The food was not the best looking food at all. I had fish and chips but it tasted like cardboard fish while Mr K had a chicken kebab. It looked good but it was too dry. It was not the best but we can’t complain as it was provided by the BBC.

Second Day of Shooting BBC Doctors

Today, we went to another new location which is the main studio where they film Doctors. It was quite easy to find the place but going to Birmingham is always a nightmare for me! When I turned into the car park, it was filled with ambulance, police cars and vans. Hmm…. I told to myself, did I just drive myself to the Police station. So I came out of the car and had a quick look and saw a sign “Acting car, please do not block”. Right, I am in BBC studios and this is not a real Police station.
When we reached there, we were shown the dressing room and I was quite shocked to see Mr K had his own dressing room. Hooray! It even had his screen name on the door.

A working day for Mr K for BBC Doctors

Last week, we got a call from Alan Sharman agency to ask if Mr K was free around to be put forward for a job. Soon after, we got a follow up phone call to let us know that BBC Doctors wanted Mr K to be part of the show. I was very excited for him. This is his first proper filming job. We did ponder for a while because of the miserly fee especially as he had to work for 6 hours a day. Anyway, we accepted the job.

Behind the scene of Toyota 12 Days of Christmas!

Today, we were all so excited as we were going to be part of Toyota’s 12 Days of Christmas shooting! It took us 1 hour 40 minutes to travel from South Ealing to Camden Town. Oh joy! This is why we moved out of London 5 years ago!
At Camden Town, it took us a while to find this place:

Had both children’s picture profile

In the modelling industry, the one request by the modelling agencies are that we have to update the children’s profile regularly as their appearances change so quickly at a young age.
We were introduced to Susannah Conway Photography by our agency, Alan Sharman agency. It’s an affordable price and within 45 minutes for us by car.

Photo Shooting for both children in London!

We had a casting in London a couple weeks ago and we got chosen to be part of the shooting. I was very excited as it was for both children. Again we didn’t know what and where until the very last minute. We got the information for the photo shooting on Friday and we had to be there on Monday!
We went to London a day early to spend some lovely time with my best friends eating Japanese food in Central London and stay over at hers.

Vertbaudet Autumn/Winter 2012 TV Collection

A few weeks ago, I mentioned in my blog about Ms C filming an advert for Vertbaudet. Today, the TV commercial is officially out and I think I can post some behind the scenes photos!
This is her advert which she appears on sec 1, 2, 5 and 10.

Redwood Publishing Photoshooting Casting in London

Today, I am bring Mr K and Ms C on a train trip down to London for a photo shooting casting. I only paid £11 for one way trip by West Midland London. Children under 5 year old is free. Bargain!

Commercial Shoot for Ms C

Remember previously I had wrote a blog regarding a casting for a commercial shoot?Today, we were finally there to do the shooting at the scene. It was a long way though. We had travelled a day early to Worsley, Manchester and staying overnight at Novotel Hotel. We had a bit of problem checking in though as someone had taken our room! The person told the reception her surname and they could not find her on the system. Her daughter was a replacement for another model who was unable to turn up. I think they assumed that we were the ones who were unable to turn up – the receptionist was so shocked when we arrived!

It was raining when we got to the location for getting their outfit. The dressing area was located at a very posh house (worth £2.7 million after Googling it). All the child models changed into their outfits and got onto the bus which dropped us at the playground.

Primark – Finally We got Paid!

Last year December, Ms C had done two days of modelling for Primark to cover in-store window posters for UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. After 7 months, we finally got paid from Primark after a lot of mis-communication between the One Agency and Primark.

Final Day of photo shoot for Ms C

Today, again heavy traffic but at least, we didn’t need to be there until 10.30 am. I have Mr K coming along with us too. Not good when both quarrel in the car. Siblings!
