Geometric Door Designs
Recently, I have used Washi tape to create these amazing geometric designs to update my cupboard doors. In fact, updating the furniture has been on my mind for many months but I had put it off. I finally mustered the courage to work on it and I’m really happy with the result. It is so affordable and the results are amazing.

Add colour to my Garden – After Transformation
I’m taking part in the Garden Goals challenge with Homebase and Mumsnet. This is my second post for the ‘add colour to my garden’ project. Today, I would like to show you what I have done for the three different tasks that we had set out.
As I had mentioned on my first post, I’ve not been happy with my garden since all my lavender plants in my back garden died two years ago. I wanted to create a new border and inject some colour into my garden with plants and shrubs.
Get on with it Challenge with Ronseal
Recently, Ronseal set us a ‘Get on with it Challenge’ to encourage us to get the job done before the summer comes! I am so glad that I did it last weekend as we have put it off for almost two years now as the fence panels were looking rather dilapidated!
Add colour to my Garden – Before Transformation
I want to add colour to my garden! I am so pleased to take part in Homebase’s Garden Goals challenge where I need to complete two tasks! First is to write about why I am adding colour to my very dull garden and tell you what I am going to do about it. My second post is to show you the transformation I have made using the Homebase’s Garden Goals instructions.
How to Maintain Your Decking
How to maintain your decking? Maintaining your decking annual is important to not only keep it looking appealing, but to also help to increase its lifespan. Ever since we had the decking installed five years ago at the end of our garden, it has become one of my annual summer projects!
How to build Pallet Playhouse
Want to learn how to build a Pallet Playhouse step by step? This is my second pallet project and I have loved the challenge of building this! After building the pallet climbing frame, my daughter wanted me to build her a playhouse. It has always been her dream to have a playhouse in the garden. So I decided to put the leftover pallets to good use.
Pallet Climbing Frame
How to build a Pallet climbing frame! It has always been my dream to learn to build or make something useful for my children. Recently I learned from my friend’s husband that he has been using pallets to build his own shed and chicken coop. So I decided to build my children a climbing frame using pallets. I went around and spoke to people for advice and looked through Pinterest for ideas. Then I drew out my plan!
Disney Princess Wall Mural from 1Wall
Ms C is a massive fan of Disney Princesses and owns a huge range of princess costumes and Disney figurines. Having seven Disney Princesses on her wall and being able to sleep next to them would definitely make for one very happy little princess!

The founders of 1Wall was bored with plain traditional wallpaper and they decided to set about creating original and elegant wallpaper murals to help you style any room of your home. They are based in Blackpool. The company has had amazing growth and now holds numerous product licences, including those for Where’s Wally, Moto GP, One Direction, DreamWorks and Manchester United. Warm our rooms this Winter
I always like a challenge especially with home improvement, interior design and all sorts of DIY. This past year, I had set myself the goal to learn how to wallpaper, paint, and get creative with making a DIY picture using leftover wallpaper and all sorts. This time around, I used a £50 B&Q voucher to tackle two cold-looking corners of my house. I gave it a makeover to make it feel warm and snug just in time for Christmas. Thanks to HomeServe for this Winter Blogger Challenge. In addition to affecting the ambience, I wanted to also reduce actual heat loss by using radiator reflectors. This is a thin sheet of foil applied to the wall behind the radiator to reduce heat loss into the wall. This increases the effective heating power of the radiator and so reduces fuel expenditure.
Our conservatory gets very cold during winter time. So we want to welcome Father Christmas into this room with a rattan star light (Half price £9.50) in the corner of the room. We have decorated with Poinsettia (£12) and a golden candle with wreath (£1.50) too to make it more welcoming. Also, we mustn’t forget to leave a cup of milk and cookie for Santa!
B&Q unloved rooms revamp with mumsnet
Recently, Mumsnet was looking for 20 MNers to revamp an unloved room in their home. I was one of the lucky ones to have been chosen by B&Q. I was sent a B&Q gift card to spend on a makeover for the unloved room. The unloved room used to be the nursery room for our children when they were babies. They have long since moved into their own rooms and it has gradually been a dumping ground for toys and books. I wanted to use this fantastic opportunity to turn it into a study room for my children who is in primary school.
