The Wine List Review

We might be entering into the next phase of lockdown, but this doesn’t mean we are safe yet. Why not take this time to learn more about wine from your home? The Wine List is a discovery and education-focused wine subscription box aimed at amateur enthusiasts who are looking to level up their knowledge.

Make your own Chrysanthemum Tea

Drinking chrysanthemum tea has been a part of my life since young, especially whenever we are ill or eating at dim sum restaurants in Singapore. Drinking chrysanthemum tea in the UK is not common practice at all and not even in Chinatown Chinese restaurants. It is one of my favourite teas that I missed when I moved to the UK.

Jucee Lunchbox Ideas

Are you worried that your children don’t get their 5 portions of fruits a day or maybe they have been consuming too many sugary drinks? Let me introduce you to Jucee. Jucee comes in three ranges: 100% pure juice, juice drinks and squash. All the ranges are 100% no added sugar.

Jucee re-introduced their 100% pure juice in 2011 as small lunchbox cartons with a straw. At the end of 2012, they launched their juice drinks in small bottles. So whatever your children’s preference, they can be enjoyed conveniently when they are out and about or at school.

Stur Drink Review

The creator of Stur Drink came up with the idea for the liquid water enhancer to help his wife to drink more water more naturally whilst pregnant with their twin girls. They went on and developed a range of good-tasting products without any artificial sweeteners, flavour or colours.

In Stur, they use the most premium sources, which includes water extracted to maintain the quality of the stevia sweetener. Each of their products uses a specific blend to allow the natural fruit flavours to come through first, with a hint of sweetness in the background.

Tg Green Teas Review

Recently, I came across Tg Green Teas via Twitter and have had the opportunity to try them out. I am an iced tea lover and bought a ton of ready to drink (RTD) tea from Waitrose! I always wished that the UK market stocked more green tea or other healthy flavour iced teas. It is difficult to find RTD tea in corner shops or even at Boots or WHSmith.

Melon, Pear & Ginger Spritzer

I am not a fitness fanatic nor a vegetarian! But green juicing is no longer just for them. Green juices are great if you are keen to improve your overall health, well-being and physical appearance as well as helping to reduce your weight in a controlled diet.

I have recently come across the Clean & Green book from Parragon. I love the sound of the book and look forward to trying many of the recipes.

Father’s Day Gift English Breakfast Tea

British Tea Lovers is a new online tea shop that opened in 2015. Their aim is to provide high quality leaf-tea for all tea consumers across the UK and the rest of Europe. They liaise with farmers directly and to ensure the quality of their tea remains in excellent condition.

The company has designed and created a limited edition Father’s Day gift. This beautifully designed tea tin comes with a special message on the top: For A Special Dad. This is a great gift for any tea lover’s dad! Inside this tin, it is filled with a packet of 100% Ceylon black tea and weighs 75 grams. The tin is ideal for storage of loose leaves and looks great on the kitchen top!

Review Alō drinks

I am so thrilled to learn Alō drinks have recently launched in Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, Ocado, independent health stores (such as Whole Foods and Selfridges) and directly from their website.

I am very familiar with aloe vera. Since young, my family has been growing aloe vera plants at home as they are very useful for skin problem. If you ever have skin rashes or sores, simply cut off the stem, remove one side of the skin and apply/rub the ‘gel’ onto the affected skin. While living in Singapore, I frequently drank bottles of aloe vera juice as they have quite a few health benefits too.

Sip & Learn Wine Tasting Box Review

Have you ever wanted to learn more about wine but don’t have time or people to go with? There are so wine tasting courses but what I find it hard as a mother of two with no relatives around is that I can’t go without having to organise babysitters or feeling guilty about not spending time with them.

So recently, I got in touch with this lovely company called Sip & Learn with this concept of every month receiving two bottles of wine as well as a comprehensive (but fun and superbly designed) educational booklet to start learning all about wine. Now in the comfort of my home and no need to get a baby sitter, my husband and I can enjoy drinking great wines whilst learning at the same time.

Coca-Cola Life Review

We are a big fans of Coca-Cola in our household and our fridge will always have at least a few cans of Diet Coke. Not only that! A few months ago, I even recycled the plastic bottles to make Coca-Cola fairy lights.

Last month, they asked if we would like to try out their new product Coca-Cola Life before it is available in stores in September. Needless to say I was so excited!

Flowering Tea / Flora Tea

Last February, we went to Scotland and I came across a Chinese restaurants selling Flowering Tea / Flora Tea.  I wondered whether this was for decoration or whether it was a real tea.  I am not usually the most adventurous person when it comes to these things but this flower tea was really attractive so I ordered one.  I had Flower Lover which is made up of green tea, chrysanthemum, globe amaranth and jasmine.

When the waitress presented me a huge wine glass with a ball, I was shocked.  I asked for flowering tea and I get a ball in a wine glass full of hot water.  So I decided to poke it with a chopstick then decided I better let it brew.  It took about 5 minutes to bloom to a full flower.  After the flower had bloomed, it was gorgeous!  The flavour was nice and the aroma was gorgeous.

Then last week, I went to Chinatown, London and found one of the supermarkets selling the flower tea one for £1.

So I bought it.  I’m not sure what they are officially called.  But this is how it looks!
