Celebrating the #LittleThings Freixenet

27 November 2014 by Eileen

Freixenet, the UK’s leading sparkling wine brand have been inviting the nation to celebrate the #LittleThings in Life. So they invited a few bloggers to join in and document the moments that give us that secret ‘yes’ feeling. Whether it’s grabbing the last Frozen toys, managing to save your toast from burning or finding the last car park space in an event! They are all worth celebrating!

I have quite a lot of #LittleThings and scares this month. Firstly, we managed to get a Saturday MRI scan in Birmingham hospital for Ms C which saved Mr C from having to book a day off work and us getting child care for Mr K. Upon arrival at the hospital, my little princess was given a hospital gown to wear (with a little peek at her back) and followed by a trip to the anaesthetic room.

Within seconds she was given a face mask and soon she was quickly knocked off to sleep (under general anaesthetic). It was such a relief that it went smoothly. Within an hour, she was out of the scan and slept through the journey home. Hearing her snoring in the car was the best sound I heard that day! She was soon very comfortable and alert!

My second #LittleThings is that the weather has turned so cold and raining hard but we’ve still managed to see three different Santas. My son had been moaning during the car journey about being cold, uncomfortable and bored but the moment he saw Santa, his face lit up as he told him his Christmas wishes, he was so happy! I also got to learn what he really wants for Christmas!

My third #LittleThings is that we managed to escape getting a parking ticket. We went to a family event in the evening and parking was such a nightmare. We drove around around the block and around the car parks without any luck. There were all full so we followed many other cars’ lead and parked our car up the grass verge in the cul-de-sac road. Yes, this is illegal but we had nowhere to park and we didn’t want to miss the show. So on our way back to our car, we saw a whole row of cars that were on the grass verge had been ticketed! We hastily walked to our car to see we didn’t have a ticket and neither did the cars in front and behind us! It seems that we had inadvertently parked on private property so the traffic wardens couldn’t give us a ticket! Phew! What a great relief! It would have costs us £70 if we got a ticket!

With these three #LittleThings, we are getting out the Freixenet Mia sparkling Moscato wine to celebrate! The Mia Moscato (7% alcohol) is lovingly crafted by Gloria Collell who uses the Tank Method to ensure premium quality and exceptional flavour. Gloria has taken inspiration from the vibrancy and colour of her home town, Barcelona. The wine is fresh, light, very fruity and sweet. It is so easy to drink – it has a delicious fruity blend of peach and ripe apricot. My husband and I love this wine and we easily polished one off between us on a ‘school’ night! I would definitely recommend them!

So what are your #LittleThings that are worth celebrating? Do tell us and use hashtag #LittleThings.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
