Behind the scene of Toyota 12 Days of Christmas!

28 November 2012 by Eileen

Today, we were all so excited as we were going to be part of Toyota’s 12 Days of Christmas shooting! It took us 1 hour 40 minutes to travel from South Ealing to Camden Town. Oh joy! This is why we moved out of London 5 years ago! At Camden Town, it took us a while to find this place:

We were greeted by a very friendly crew, Damian and Patrick and the rest of the members.  We had a brief of the agenda and what to expect on the shooting.

When the set was ready, we went inside the studio which had lots of bright lights and equipment all over the place! Both of the children were so excited to see a car and that they were allowed to sit in the front. Both of them kept fighting over who was going to ‘drive’. They also managed to find the pop-up headlight switch, and kept flipping the light and beeping the horn.  People outside must have wondered if the building had turned into a garage! I had to scream at them to stop beeping the horn. They got so carried away and were having so much of fun that they didn’t realised that they were there for shooting.

They also got so curious with the equipment inside the car. Mr K nearly ripped off the microphone. Then they had strong winds blown onto their faces while trying to drive the car.

Following that, the children and I sat in the back seats and sang 12 days of Christmas! I’m sure I nearly cracked glass when I tried to sing four calling birds! Look out for the video, especially for us on the fourth day!

Great exposures and it will be a reality for Kieran soon to be able to drive in open top sport car with both you & hubby relaxing on the rear seat.
