We had a casting in London a couple weeks ago and we got chosen to be part of the shooting. I was very excited as it was for both children. Again we didn’t know what and where until the very last minute. We got the information for the photo shooting on Friday and we had to be there on Monday!
We went to London a day early to spend some lovely time with my best friends eating Japanese food in Central London and stay over at hers. We set off very early in the morning around 8 am. We took a bus, underground train, overground train and in the end we had to use a cab to reach our destination. Phew! We made it in time. We went into a big and beautiful house.
After an hour of waiting, we were asked to get changed and take some photos in one of the bedrooms. Both children were brilliant and they did as the photographer instructed. In between the shooting, there was another child on the scene who they rotated. At photo shoots, there’s usually a lack of space for the children to run around due to the photographer’s equipments, makeup artist’s stuffs and all sorts of background scenes. Also there can be a lack of the exact size clothings. It was either too big or too small. At times, we had to provide our own clothing. It was also very important not to dirty any clothing including our own!
After we finished shooting one scene, the children changed into a different outfit while they sorted out a new scene and lighting. While waiting for our next shooting, Mr K and Ms C used my iPad to watch Peppa Pig and we also took a few pictures of ourselves!
I don’t think I could live without my iPad or smart phone. They are the best gadgets ever! They keep my children entertained for hours. I usually bring their favourite toys or board games to the location to keep them entertain. But for this instance, I had to pack light and only had my gadgets to keep them entertained.
This photo shooting is for an overseas’s website and catalogue. I will post any updates of their photos if I ever find them! Wish me luck!
Updated: Sadly we were unable to get any photos.
