I was first introduced to Durgol a few weeks ago. To be honest, I didn’t know what they did and had to Google it. Durgol is a leading Swiss company in limescale removal. They have products like limescale and detergent removers, scale inhibitors and coffee machine descalers.
Until today, I had never seen or knew about glass trays for ovens. In my mind, oven tray are always those dull and black rectangular trays. Now seeing this Pyrex Multi-Purpose Cooking Sheet, I think I could get rid those dull trays which my food always sticks to.
Last week, I was so excited when I received this stunning personalised slate heart cheese board! I’ve always wanted to own one but not because I love cheese so much. It is for Mr C – he loves his cheese and having this slate will look fab on our dinner table. It is his belated Valentines Day gift. It is almost the time of the year to show off your flipping skills as Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) is fast approaching. Shrove Tuesday is the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. In the UK, traditionally people eat pancakes on that day hence it is called Pancake Day.
If you have been following my series of Chinese New Year blog posts, you may have seen that I mentioned Spring cleaning. We have to clean the house before the New Year to wash away the bad luck and welcome good fortune into our home. There is one traditional that I still believe in which is we are not suppose to sweep/mop/clean the floor during Chinese New Year day as it will sweep away all the good fortune. So if you happen to drop/smash something, remember to say 歲歲平安 (Suì suì píng ān) immediately, which means “everlasting peace year after year”.

I always found it hard to use a flat wooden spatula to glide around the egg or turn the omelet around. I have never paid attention to glasses until I started blogging. Nowadays I am always on the lookout for nice kitchenware. A good quality set of glasses will enhance the drinks in any photo. Ozeri who had recently sent me the bathroom scale for review has now kindly given me a set of four beautiful glasses. These are double wall thermo glasses that are made from durable, heat resistant, mouth-blown borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is stronger than common glass and shatter resistant. But I wouldn’t use it with a child even though it is shatter resistant. The glass’s capacity is small and will only fill 8 oz of drink with is roughly about 227 ml. I would say the glass will take around 200 ml as you wouldn’t want to fill it up to the top of the rim. This will look great with cocktails, iced teas or even cappuccinos.
