Zalando UK Bedding Review

26 October 2013 by Eileen

Nowadays shopping online has become more and more popular as it is so easy to shop virtually than physically! I still remember years ago, when we had to drive to various large shopping malls over a few weekends, and spending the whole day to shop on each occasion. Now, within a few mouse clicks, your shop can be completed much more quickly and can normally be sent to you within a few days.

Zalando UK is an online fashion boutique stocking over 1,500 luxury and high street brands from all over the world including some exciting designer collaborations. They have a great range of clothing for men and women, little ones as well as a varied homeware range for every room in the house. I had seen Zalando online advertisements all over but had never tried them out until now. When I first visited their website, I was quite shocked at the amount of variety they offer. They have a huge range of clothing with many top brands like Ted Baker, Vero Moda, Nike, French Connection and others. I was overwhelmed by the choices! Handily, I remembered Mr K needed a new set of double bedding and so I headed over to their home department.

Zalando UK Bedding Review

After I filtered down the size of the bedding to double bed and the budget, I found there are over 50 choices.  So I selected colour next to further filter down the list. So Mr K picked this blue star STERN Bed linen Size: 200×200/80×80(2). I didn’t pay attention to the 80×80 size. In fact, that is the sizing for the pillow casing and it comes in two. I ordered on Sunday night with free delivery and return. The bedding arrived on Saturday morning.  Before they arrived, I was sent a text from Yodel delivery to confirm that they are coming.  After I received it, I had another text and email to say it had been delivered. I like how it tells provides you these status updates.

It comes in a well packed box. After taking it out, we washed the bedding before we used it. The colour and shape did not change after the wash and dry.  It is 100% cotton. Mr K is a big fan of all things outer space and he loves his starry bedding. The only downside is that the pillow case is 80x80cm. We have had to fold them into half as his pillows are regular size pillows but rather flat. This pillow case will suit a large cushion instead.  Also the pillow case’s zip has no tag, so it is not very easy to zip it up.  Otherwise, this is quite a nice bedding. Have you bought anything from Zalando before? What do you think of their range?

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
