Greener Cleaner products

26 January 2014 by Eileen

If you have been following my series of Chinese New Year blog posts, you may have seen that I mentioned Spring cleaning.  We have to clean the house before the New Year to wash away the bad luck and welcome good fortune into our home.  There is one traditional that I still believe in which is we are not suppose to sweep/mop/clean the floor during Chinese New Year day as it will sweep away all the good fortune.  So if you happen to drop/smash something, remember to say  歲歲平安 (Suì suì píng ān) immediately, which means “everlasting peace year after year”.

Greener Cleaner Product

So this week, I have been busy cleaning inside and outside the house!  I am delighted to receive Greener Cleaner’s range of products to try out.  Greener Cleaner have an innovative patented range of 50% wood pulp and 50% recycled plastic cleaning brooms and brushes.  Sitting alongside the hardware range is an eco-friendly sustainable ingredient based range of cleaning liquids which offer antibacterial properties to kill bad bacteria.

They are highly durable and products are heat resistant up to 120 degrees C.  The range includes: Pot & Pan Brushes, Dish Brushes, Mini Dustpan & Brush, Regular Dustpan & Brush, Window Wiper, Floor Broom, Scrubbing Brush and Dusting Wand.  All the handles and solid parts are made from 100% recycled plastic and wood pulp and perform as well as non-eco versions.  Each of the items come with a hanging hole for easy storage.

I used the window blade to clean my window.  It is very light and easy to use.  I also scrubbed my door frame with the scrubbing brush.  I love the pointed shape bristle which makes it easy to clean corners!  Now my door frame looks very clean!

The dish brush comes with durable brush fibres and is a great way to clean all types of dishes, pans, glass, ceramic and plastics.  The dual use, small precision brush is perfect for tough dirt in hard-to-reach places.  I have not use it on any of my Tefal non-stick coated pots in case it scratches the surface.  So I would suggest use with caution as the bristles are quite hard. The dustpan and brushes come with soft rubber lips and claw sides to clean the brush and clip together quite easily.

The cleaning liquids are all made in the UK which meet Euro label standards that it penetrates and kills bacteria with the natural antibacterial agents within the formulation.  I had the limescale remover which comes with Off, Jet & Spray positions.  It does what it says on the bottle!  It is so easy to clean it off and all the limescale is gone.  I was not totally like the smell of the solution but it is bearable.

Overall, I am very pleased with their products.  They are eco friendly and well made.  I like the red colour ranges as they were look good with the rest of the kitchen accessories!  Also all the items are reasonably priced and affordable.  If you sign up their loyalty club, you can claim 50 loyalty points to use as discount on future orders.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
