Bebird has recently launched its latest flexible otoscope, the Ultra X. This product is a true game-changer, featuring an upgraded 5G chipset for smoother and sharper 4K video, improved water and dust resistance, and a slimmer 3.6mm flexible serpentine tube. It also comes with a dropper for ear drops and has built-in temperature control to maintain the device at body temperature.

The Ultra X includes five sets of accessories, allowing you and your family to examine the ear canal. You can also view the nose and throat, and by swapping the ear spoon for tweezers, you can even remove small objects.

What is Included in the Ultra X Kit
- Travel box – Includes the otoscope with a smooth, round-tipped metal ear spoon attached, plus an inner tray containing one lens brush, one tweezers component-A, one set of six light pink accessories, and one set of six light orange accessories (two dome ear spoons, a plastic ear tip, a metal ear tip wrapped in silicone, a double-colour Q-elastic ear tip, and tweezers component-B).

- Master box – Comes with a nasal speculum, ear canal speculum, tongue depressor, dropper, protective plug, and three sets of six blue (light blue, sky blue and pale blue) accessories (two dome ear spoons, a plastic ear tip, a metal ear tip wrapped in silicone, a double-colour Q-elastic ear tip, and tweezers component-B).

- Paper sleeve box – Contains 24 disposable tacky heads and 24 disposable sponge heads.

- Type-C USB charging cable and instructions.
All the ear spoons and tweezers are soft to the touch, except for the smooth, round-tipped metal ear spoon. Once screwed on tightly (clockwise), they feel very secure, including the tacky and sponge heads.

Everything is stored neatly in the travel and master boxes. Simply slide the tray out of the casing to reveal the tips, lens brush, and tweezers components A and B.
Battery & Charging
The otoscope has a built-in 230mAh rechargeable battery, which takes around 50 minutes to fully charge and lasts for approximately 80 minutes of use. The app conveniently displays the battery percentage. The charging port is located at the bottom of the device. While charging, the indicator light glows red and turns off once fully charged.

When the device is powered on and connecting, the blue indicator light flashes. Once connected, the blue light remains solid and will only flash again when the battery is low. Press the on/off button again to turn it off.
App & Setup
Before first use, download the free Bebird app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). A QR code is provided in the instructions. To connect, open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and select the otoscope. Once paired, the blue indicator light remains solid. In my video, you can see just how quick and simple the setup process is: https://youtu.be/Ts2w_FHzhRI
Design & Build Quality
Despite being lightweight, the otoscope feels very well made and features built-in temperature control. The build quality is excellent, with a sleek and stylish bright orange finish. The flexible tube can bend slightly to the left and right – however, it should not be bent in other directions, as this may damage the device.
The IP67 waterproof, dustproof, and fog-proof 4P slim lens is illuminated by an LED light and can be easily cleaned using the provided lens brush.
Modes & Features
This otoscope is suitable for all ages. The app offers three modes: standard, elderly, and child. Each mode allows you to select either the left or right ear for correct camera orientation. The app also lets you capture still photos or record videos (with sound), which can be saved and shared with a doctor or healthcare professional. All media is stored in your dedicated “ear clean album”.
- To take a photo: Press the middle button once
- To record a video: Press and hold the middle button for a few seconds
In elderly mode, images can be enlarged in three size options. Child mode includes a child-lock feature on the screen for added safety.
On screen, the ear spoon occupies only about one-eighth of the display, and the visuals are clear and detailed. The multi-axis gyroscope keeps the camera stable. To check the nose or mouth, simply unscrew the ear spoon (anti-clockwise) and attach the observation hood.

The tweezers mode does require some practice, as pressing and releasing them with the right amount of control without excessive movement can be tricky at first.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the Bebird Ultra X delivers sharper, clearer images, easy video recording, and convenient storage. It is compact, user-friendly, and ideal for home use – especially with the five sets of accessories that can be shared among family members. The included dropper for dispensing liquid ear solutions is also a thoughtful addition.

I love being able to see exactly what is happening while someone – or even myself – is cleaning my ears. This is a fantastic piece of kit that I would happily recommend. If you’d like to try it yourself, the Ultra X is available exclusively from the official Bebird website and comes with a 2-year warranty, helpline support, fast shipping, and 60-day free returns.
