Philips Perfect Care Ironing Party

18 November 2013 by Eileen

We were so lucky to get picked by Come Round to host Philips Perfect Care Ironing Party this weekend! There have been other ironing parties before but I have never hosted one and so was unsure what to do besides showing everyone my awesome Philips Azur Steam iron and Easy 8 ironing board! Azur can be use any ironable garment from silk, to linen, to cotton, to cashmere, in any order, without adjusting the temperature. It delivers perfect results without the risk of burn or shine.

Happily, there was a Balloon Challenge for my guests to Come Round!  Each of them blew up their own balloon and used the Azur Steam to iron it! Yes, iron the inflated balloon! I have to be honest, I was really scared that it would burst each time! How is it possible that the iron won’t burst the balloons? This is all of us testing it out!

Philips Perfect Care Ironing Party Balloon Challenge

We were all very impressed that only one balloon burst! This was an amazing test!  When we felt the balloon, it was warm. However, when we ironed the clothing, the clothing was very hot.

How does the iron work?

It combines OptimalTEMP technology and deep, powerful steam in a light handheld model, the PerfectCare Azur means you can power through the ironing quickly before getting ready to go out, giving you more time to pamper and relax.

  • OptimalTEMP – Digital smart temperature control means you can iron any fabric and you will never burn or scorch your favourite garments again.
  • Powerful consistent steam output will reach deep into the fabric to loosen tough creases faster and help your ironing pile disappear quicker than ever before!
  • Philips scratch-resistant, superior gliding T-ionicGlide soleplate and steam precision tip for easy reach in tricky areas.
  • Double active calc clean system will keep limescale at bay, ensuring your iron stays in top condition.

My first impression is that I love how easy it is iron items of different fabrics.  There is no need to change any settings. There is plenty of steam which does an exceptional job of remove any creases. I don’t need to worry that I may scorch clothing especially silk! It also comes with big tank for water to save me from topping it up so often.

As for the ironing board, the XL size helps iron clothing more quickly as you don’t need to turn the clothing as often! There is also a unique storage basket for keeping the remote control handy, a shirt hanging rail without moving away from your position and a cord holder to keep your cord out of the way!  It is larger and heavier than our old ironing board so you must have plenty of storage place if you would like to have one. It is nearly taller than me!

We all had an awesome time doing ironing and do watch our video of how we iron our balloon! https://youtu.be/XCzgDhg9rbs

Disclosure: We have received the products and were the host for the party organised by Come Round.  We were not asked to write this review.

never ever thought the day would come where I’d stumble across an ironing party but there you go! I’d hate to iron a balloon, I’d be so scared but I’m amazed only one burst xo

Hahaha….that’s great! I can’t believe it’s THAT clever it doesn’t burn the balloon – the one that popped was from rough handling I think. What an amazing iron! 🙂
