Drumond Park Don’t Laugh Review

This Drumond Park’s Don’t Laugh is a hilarious and highly popular ‘laugh-out-loud’ board game with RRP £19.99 and is for 2 – 4 players and suitable from age 8 to adult.  We played with our friends and their children who are as young as six.

Catch Phrase Review

Follow the return of iconic 80s game show Catch Phrase, the ITV has enjoyed peak viewing figures approaching 5 million a night and secured a legion of avid fans old and new.  Even both of my children enjoy watching it!  It is hosted by Stephen Mulhern and long standing mascot, Mr Chips.

Having family time during Easter Holidays!

This year Easter, we didn’t have any plans except having plenty of family time.  It has been a very busy year for Mr C with his work and holidays tend to be ‘staycations’ at the moment!  So we have used these long weekends playing games at home.  Also we are not Christian hence we don’t celebrate with family or friends.

It was such a perfect day to play football and badminton with the kids!  Mr K loved playing football with Mr C while I did a bit of gardening and Ms C loves playing on the swing.  We are very proud of her as she is able to get up on the swing and swing by herself now.  She was unable to do so a couple of months ago but one day she just got it!

Ravensburger Ringo Flamingo Review

Ravensburger Ringo Flamingo is a very interesting concept.  The aim of the game is to save the flamingos from the snapping crocodiles lurking in the water!  The player who can flip the most lifebuoys over the flamingos and collect the most seashell chips wins!  So get ready and save those poor flamingos!

Drumond Park LOGO What Am I?

Do you have family or friends coming around for tea or a gathering?  If so, try getting out a board game to involve everyone and have fun.  We tend to do this instead of turning on the PlayStation or TV as it’s more interactive and sociable.

Orchard Toys Rockets and Comets Review

Rockets and Comets is one of the six new releases for 2014 by Orchard Toys!  We had the opportunity to try it out at the Toy Fair 2014 and both children loved it.

Rockets and Comets is very similar to the classic game Snakes and Ladders.  The concept is the same but set in a space theme and Orchard Toys have added an extremely fun variation to the game.  Now if you land on the black holes, you will have to spin the spinner to see which black holes you are going to get transported into it.

Orchard Toy Pirate Race Game Review

Pirate Race Game is another exciting new release for 2014 by Orchard Toys!  This is a memory and matching game, where players travel around the island, matching cards to build a pirate picture, before racing to the middle of the island to capture the Pirates’ treasure.

Orchard Toys Farmyard Friends Review

Farmyard Friends is aimed at age 2+ for 1 – 4 players.  This is similar to Orchard Toys Post Box Game.  Both have the same concept about teaching matching and sorting for very young children.  But this in set you learn about the ducks, pigs, cows and horses.

Ravensburger Junior Labyrinth Board Review

I do find that Ravensburger do some very challenging board games.  Last year, we reviewed the Ho Ho Ho! Santa’s Rooftop Scramble Game, which is quite complicated and challenging.

Drumond Park Gross Magic Review

Gross magic is not everyone’s cup of tea but it can be so much fun!   This Gross Magic is suitable for 8 years onwards to adult.  Some of the magic tricks are quite simple that my 6 year old is able to do it but with plenty of help from an adult.

The Best of TV & Movies Review

What do you normally do after a big Christmas dinner?  Our usual routine is to get everyone playing board games or video games.  This Christmas, we had the Best of TV & Movies from Drumond Park to play with.

The Gruffalo: Word Rhyming Game Review

The Gruffalo is a story about a mouse who goes on an adventurous journey through the deep, dark woods and is confronted by Fox, Owl and Snake who all want to eat him.  To save himself, he makes up a story about an imaginary Gruffalo to scare them off.  It is a well-written book for children with rhyming text by Julia Donaldson and fantastic illustrations by Axel Scheffler bringing the story to life. This game is from University Games.  It is suitable for ages 4 years old and upward with 2 to 4 players.

Drumond Park Mask ‘n’ Ask Review

Mask ‘n’ Ask from Drumond Park is a board game to guess who am I. It is for two to four players and for aged around 7 and above. There are 30 beautifully designed double-sided masks: colourful animal faces on one side, and jokey-looking human characters on the reverse.  On the animal side, kids might find a cow, rabbit or elephant, for instance. And on the human side, the mask maybe a policeman, doctor or pilot.

Drumond Park Wordsearch Junior Review

Wordsearch Junior is based on the same clever ‘turntable’ design of the original Classic Wordsearch! game, and is easily set up for play.  It is suitable for aged four and above for two to four players. It comes with 9 puzzle cards, 1 game board base, 1 ring, 1 transparent playing disc, 35 marking chips of red, green, yellow and blue and 1 instruction manual.
