Post Box Game by Orchard Toys

30 March 2013 by Eileen

Post Box Game is aimed at age 2+ for 1 – 4 players. My first impression is that this is a big hit for both of my children. They both love to post letters.

Post Box Game by Orchard Toys

Contents:

  • 4 post boxes with supports
  • 16 letter cards
  • instructions

It is easy to assemble as the boards are thick and durable, which should make it long lasting. The objective of this game is to post the letters in the matching post boxes.

There are three ways of playing the game where the first two have no competitive element. However, instead of following the instructions, the children decided to invent their own games. This helps to boost creativity, inspires imagination and promote independent play. It also encourages recognising colours and animals.

There are a lot of benefits from this game.  However, I think the game is a bit simple and does not offer long term appeal. Therefore at £9.50, it does not offer good value for money. I rate this 3 stars out of 5. For more information, please visit https://www.orchardtoys.com.

Great review thanks Eileen. The age range on the box is only a guide, remembering that children develop at different speeds. Your children are both very bright and might have found it unchallenging, others who aren’t so advanced in their game skills might find it more of a challenge. Neverheless, I think they enjoyed i!

[…] Friends is aimed at age 2+ for 1 – 4 players.  This is similar to Orchard Toys Post Box Game.  Both have the same concept about teaching matching and sorting for very young children.  But […]
