This Drumond Park’s Don’t Laugh is a hilarious and highly popular ‘laugh-out-loud’ board game with RRP £19.99 and is for 2 – 4 players and suitable from age 8 to adult. We played with our friends and their children who are as young as six.
The board game comes with:
- An electronic prop microphone
- 100 joke cards
- Playing board
- 4 playing pieces
- Instructions
The microphone requires 3 x AAA batteries and they are not provided. There is an on/off button at the base of the microphone. There are four tiny buttons which we found hard to remember which buttons are for which function! A quick press of one of these buttons will set off either a fart, laughter, funny phrase or the timer. The rectangular playing board is made from a thick cardboard with a smooth surface. The cards have blue or orange backgrounds, so make sure you get through all of one coloured side before moving on to the other side to avoid getting the same cards.
To win this game, you have to be the first player to get to the end of the board by making their opponents smile or laugh at their jokes. It is very easy to play the game but if you get a straight faced player, sometimes it is really HARD! My daughter refused to laugh and just keep staring at us so we won’t be able to move! With only a 10 second window, it can be difficult to get them to laugh too! So you have to be clear and quick with the buttons!
We all had fun with it but it is hard if the other players choose to ignore or block your joke so it’s best to gauge everyone’s moods before playing!
