DIY Tissue Paper Baton

I can’t believe half of the year has gone and this is my seventh challenge as a Bostik Blogger. This month’s theme is outdoors. I have received a crafting box packed with coloured paper, ribbons, felts, Blu Tack glu pen, Blu Tack foam and many more.

We just had our sports day last week and both of my children have been very keen to do more sports activities in this warm weather! So we made these tissue paper batons to use in a relay at home.

Cookie Monster Duck Tape Bag

This is my sixth challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Monster. I have received a crafting box packed with coloured paper, pompoms, felts, Blu Tack glu dots, Blu Tack white glue and many more.

My daughter asked if we could make a monster bag. So after much research online and checking the materials that we have available, I decided to make a Cookie Monster bag using Duck Tape.

5 Father’s Day Homemade Gift Ideas

In my early days in Singapore, we hardly ever celebrated Father’s Day as my dad was always working until late and it was not as highly marketed by shops, or promoted by schools. Ever since I started to work, I realised that what my father did to provide for our family of five plus his own mother was a very hard life. I had never had the chance to show my appreciation to him at all as he has already passed away.

Now I am glad to have this opportunity to make something together with my children to show our appreciation to my husband. Baker Ross has just launched a new range of Father’s Day craft ideas. I have received the Toolbox Photo Frame kit, Father’s Day Bookmark kit, Car Wooden Desk Tidy kit, Father’s Day Car Card and Father’s Day Foam Stickers.  These are our 5 homemade gift ideas!

Plasticine Review

Do you want to avoid your favourite modelled character shrinking or hardening? Plasticine could be the solution to your problem. Recently, we have tried out modelling items using Plasticine. I made a Homer Simpson character while Mr K made a stripy tiger and Ms C made lots of different items using the Plasticine cutter.

Interplay Flower Press Review

I still remember when I was young, I used to put flowers into a book, flatten it and save it to put in my scrapbook or use as a bookmark. Now with this Interplay Instant flower press, you will get a nicely dried flower instantly to decorate whichever you want! There’s no need to wait for weeks before you can use the flower with this kit!

First Year Scrapbook with Bostik

This is my fifth challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Scrapbooking. I have received a crafting box packed with coloured paper, ribbons, buttons, Blu Tack Pink, Blu Tack foam pads and many more.

As this month’s theme is scrapbooking, I decided to make two individual First Year scrapbooks for both of my children. Each page would be filled with a photo of them for each month. I would then get both of my children involved by having them design their front cover.

Spring / Summer Crafts

Crafts are always a great way to entertain a bunch of children especially during a party. We often find that whenever we have friends and their children over, our home quickly becomes a madhouse especially with our children as ringleaders. So by giving them something to do like group activities, it helps to ease the noise and mess in the house.

Baker Ross have recently sent me their new summer crafts collections which include the Sealife decoration Sewing Kits, Monster Scratch Art Magnets, Mermaid Weaving Bookmark Kits, Ceramic Gnomes, Coloured Sequins and many more.

Each kit is well packed and they are also great for party bags. They are very well priced and great value. The kits are easy to follow and make. They are always of good quality and come with full instructions.

Last week, we had a birthday party. The children started playing with the action figures and created a battlefield in the kitchen.  To clear them off, I gave each child a craft kit to do with their parents. They were all very pleased doing it.

The monster scratch art magnets were a big hit. They all love to scratch and made funny designs on their monsters.

Super Hero Story Telling

Recently, I have received a packet of Star Hero Foam Stickers from Baker Ross. I decided to make it into a story board and encourage my children to perform their own storytelling. This storytelling board encourages your child to use their imagination and creativity.

Before I handed the foam stickers and card over to my children, I explained to them how this Super Hero Story Telling worked. The black card is like their story board and they can be as creative as they want by using the foam.

Fish Mobile

This is a very easy craft that we made during the Easter holiday break. Both of my children love fishes and so we decided to make this fish mobile to hang it in our conservatory. We spent at least 20 minutes to colour all the fishes and took me around 10 minutes to thread them into this simple yet beautiful fish mobile.

Interplay Fairy Garden

Do you believe in fairies? Like other young children, both of my children still believe in them and they were so excited to build this fairy garden! Fairy Garden is part of the Craft Box range which is one of the many ranges from Interplay. It is suitable for ages 4 onwards.

Ocean Puppet Play Box

Can you believe it is April already? This is my fourth challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Ocean. I have received a crafting box packed with seashells, sand coloured paint and many more. So my children decided to make an ocean puppet play box.

Easter Chinese Character Activity

This is my third challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Easter. I have received a crafting box packed full of Easter theme crafts. So I decided to adapt this craft into a learning craft for my children. This Easter craft is great for decoration and for teaching your children to recognise Rabbit in the Chinese word. This is very simple to make.

3D Tulip Flower Mother Day Card

This coming Mother’s day (15th March 2015), why not try to make a home-made card with your children. It is fun and also a lovely personal touch. Last week, while I was tidying my drawer I found an old magazine (Practical Parenting & Pregnancy) from March 2013. Flipping through the magazine, I found this Let’s Make section where they show how to make a tulip card. This craft idea is from Little Children’s Book of Things to Do from Usborne.

Paper Plate Baymax

Recently we went to watch Big Hero 6 and immediately fell in love with Baymax! He is such a cuddly superhero! So this half term, we spent some time at home making Baymax using paper plates and Hama beads!

Valentine’s Day Hanging Hearts Decoration

This is my second challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Valentine’s Day. I have received a crafting box packed with hearts, jewels and red papers. I decided to make a Valentine’s Day hanging hearts decoration for my husband with my children’s help. Before I made this, I printed out our family photo and stuck it on a firm red card before cutting a heart shape.
