Christmas Tree Wrapping for Gift

Today, I would like to share this Christmas tree wrapping idea for your gifts. I remember when I used to live in Singapore, every year at Christmas time, most shopping malls in Singapore offer a wrapping service. They mostly used origami wrapping ideas to wrap up presents. Not only do they look pretty, they are unique and makes the gift stand out.

Thunderbirds Tracy Island

Last week, Anthea Turner joins Vivid Toy Group to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Thunderbirds TV series which launched on 30th September in 1965. If you are a big fan of Blue Peter, you probably remember that Anthea Turner’s demonstration of building a replica Thunderbirds base using papier-mache and toilet paper tubes. The beloved 1993 home-made creation caused such a fuss Blue Peter was inundated with requests for an instruction leaflet, which is still available online.

This year represents the 3rd time Vivid Toy Group have launched Tracy Island as part of their Thunderbirds toy range. Having already been listed in a raft of Toy retailers’ Top 10 Toys for Christmas, Hamleys Boys’ Category Manager believes that the new, Interactive version is a sure fire hit: “Tracy Island stands out as the one to watch this Christmas and a complete sell out is predicted.” She continues: “It’s amazing that 50 years on Thunderbirds still has the power to engage with children and adults alike, it’s rich history remastered to a 21st century audience has only strengthened its appeal and place as an iconic British brand.”

The presenters’ original Blue Peter Tracy Island model is unveiled alongside the new Interactive Tracy Island. How awesome is that!

Halloween Duck Tape Hat & Bat

We love Duck Tape in this house as it comes in so handy for so many crafts! We have made so many things using it. Recently, we have received a range of their Halloween-themed Duck Tapes: bats, pumpkins, white, black and orange.

So we decided to make a Halloween Hat for a Halloween party! To make this hat, you would need to use a big and small bowl to make a template.

As this month’s theme is back to school, my daughter decided to make a pencil holder and to decorate it with the fabric that was provided.

Bink Creations Review

Recently, I came across Bink Creations. They are a service that turns your children’s artwork into a truly unique keepsake object (Figures, Fridge Magnets, Gift Tags, Jigsaws, Keyring or Stamps). It allows your child to turn their imagination into reality, bringing their creations off the paper and into real life.

Baker Ross have recently introduced a range of exciting crafts. We are thrilled to sample their products before anyone else! We have received their Halloween crafts collections which include the haunted house scratch art decorations, card top hats, day of the dead foam stickers and monkey stained glass hanging decoration. We had also received the Hedgehog cushion sewing kits and animal cross-stitch.

Each kit is well packed and some kits are also great for party bags. They are very well priced and great value. The kits are of good quality with full instructions and are easy to follow and make.

Qixels Turbo Dryer Review

Recently, we came across Qixels at a local shop and grabbed Mr K’s attention immediately. They are almost like beados and fuse together once dried! Qixels are small cubes which can be used to make pictures/characters and then you use water to fuse them together. This is suitable for aged 4 and above.

Pick Up Sticks Game

Along with other bloggers this week, I have decided to make a series of stick crafts from using popsicles to twigs. I have made a game from my childhood which is the pick up sticks game! I used to play that with my friends in school and I thought it would be nice to pass it down to my children too.
