Qixels Turbo Dryer Review

12 August 2015 by Eileen

Recently, we came across Qixels at a local shop and grabbed Mr K’s attention immediately. They are almost like beados and fuse together once dried! Qixels are small cubes which can be used to make pictures/characters and then you use water to fuse them together. This is suitable for aged 4 and above.

Inside this Qixels Turbo Dryer box, it comes with:

  • 500 Qixels cubes
  • 1 Turbo Dryer
  • 2 Cube trays
  • 4 Design templates
  • 2 Display bases
  • 2 Stands
  • 2 Plug in accessories
  • 1 Bag tag & thread
  • 1 Storage tray
  • 1 Water sprayer

Select the design template and place it onto the cube trays. Next add the Qixels onto the template. My son finds it hard to place the Qixels as he has clammy hands. The Qixels keep sticking to his fingers or popping out of the template. However, Ms C had no problems getting the Qixels onto the template! She managed to make her own character within minutes!

There are 4 awesome templates (scorpion, dinosaur, fighter jet and Qixel character Viking) to follow. Once you have made these four designs, you will only be left with a couple of Qixels. If your children enjoys this, it is worth to buy additional Qixels to add to it!

Once you have completed the design, place it inside the turbo dryer and spray water onto the design. Next press the spinning buttons for 30 seconds to get rid of any excess water. Any excess water will be collected on the water tank located underneath the turbo dryer. Now wait for 20 minutes or more for the design to dry. Once dried, place your picture/character onto the display stand provided or the bag tag. If you have more than one display stand, you can join them together!

These Qixels are a lot of fun. Both my children enjoyed making the designs and we are looking forward to getting extra Qixels for them to build Minecraft characters! This set is available to buy from Character Online, good retailers and Amazon.

I had never heard of them prior to your review but they look as if they encourage both imagination and creativity in abundance!
