Frozen Fairy Lights, Jewellery Box & Shaker Maker Review

14 August 2015 by Eileen 1 Comment

This summer, we have not only been keeping ourselves busy on our feet, we have also had fun doing crafts together. We have received this range of Frozen theme crafts from Flair. They are: the fairy lights, jewellery box and shaker maker.

Frozen Cool Create Range Review

Ms C is Frozen mad and loves everything to do with Frozen. These came just in time for us to do while the weather is gone wet. To avoid disappointment, I had opened up the sets to get them ready for her to use, especially the shaker maker! The plaster takes at least 90 minutes to dry.

Frozen Fairy Lights review

Firstly we tried the fairy lights. Inside this box, it comes with 12 lanterns, stickers, felt pen and 7 lights on a wire. It requires three AAA batteries to operate. I was surprised to find that the lanterns were made from paper. So we had to be very careful while taking out of the templates and sticking the stickers on it. Installation of the paper lanterns is easy and the lights are very bright. Ms C adores it and it now hangs proudly on her photo frame. The wire is a good length of 280cm.

After decorating her fairy lights, she went to decorate her jewellery box. This comes with jewellery accessories, colouring pencils, stickers & tiles and instructions. This is a three drawer jewellery box measuring 20cm by 10cm by 15cm. It is made from a hard cardboard. It took Ms C a long time to stick all the stickers and tiles on the box! She really put a lot of effort into it and made sure every tile sits nicely in the frame. After that, she coloured in the accessories with the supplied colouring pencils. This will not work with felt pen or crayon. Once you finished colouring in, you will to bake it for 1 – 3 minutes in the oven at 160c. I was surprised to find that they had shrunk so much and once cooled, you can attach them onto the rings or bracelet provided in the box! She really loves this! I would definitely recommend them!

Finally, we tried the shaker maker. To make the plaster, you need to mix with warm water and give it a shake! It was very easy to do it! I was surprised at how quickly the plaster started to set. I made two plasters one after another. The leftover plaster is easy to remove from the bowl and clean. This is Ms C painting her plasters. She has not quite grasped the fine intricate control required for this and her Frozen plasters does look a bit garish. But the most important thing was that she really enjoyed it. She was a bit upset that she didn’t painted it very well. But she is happy with them and they are sitting proudly on display on her window sill.

Did you know that you can get shaker maker refill packs? It means that you will be able to make more plasters if you need! I would definitely get a few packs for her! These sets are available to buy from Flairs, Smyths, good toy retailers and Amazon.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
