Last week, we were invited to watch the Norm of The North movie at Empire cinema in Leicester Square along with Kate Garraway who introduced the screening, Cherry Healey, Una Healy, Justin Lee Collins and The Brooks with activities including performers, balloon animals, face painting and a photo booth before the film began.

Disney Pictopia Review
Disney Pictopia is a picture-trivia family game that spans the decades of Disney’s cinematic history. Not only does this game test your Disney knowledge, it offers a unique twist; some questions must be answered from the perspective of the player asking the question, making it ideal for gathering the whole family around the table this Christmas. This game is available to buy on Amazon and other retailers at RRP £19.99.

Into The Woods Review
Last week, we were fortunate to be involved with the Into The Woods viewing Twitter party, celebrating the launch of their 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on 18th May 2015. Did you manage to see some of my tweets? If you follow the hashtag #IntoTheWoods, you will be able to see it!
This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy), all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the Witch (Meryl Streep), who has put a curse on them.
A Mouse’s Tale Review
A Mouse’s Tale is about two brave mice, Samantha and Sebastian who are sent on a quest to save their kingdom. This is an 87 minute film which is great to watch with the whole family. It was released today 25th May 2015 on DVD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and is available in good DVD stores and also Amazon. Just in time for the May half term break!

TMNT Movie Review
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a show from my childhood in the 1990s where a group of ninja turtles fight against the bad guys like Shredder to save the city. In this 2014 movie, they have all had a major makeover and they all look awesomely scary! I love that they have given the turtles more detail to their costumes and have rippling muscles. They still wear their bandannas, eat pizza and like to joke around.
Night in with Santa Maria
Last week, we enjoyed an hour of extra sleep and at the same time, we also had an extra-long night in together. We all love a lazy Sunday and we like to spend it by watching a film. So, last Sunday, we had a perfect Mexican feast watching family-friendly film Spirited Away. Spirited Away is one of my favourite Japanese cartoon movies and there’s always a sense of nostalgia whenever I introduce my children to the movies I used to watch.
Santa Maria (previously known as Discovery Foods) had kindly sent me their fajita kit to enjoy a quick and easy family night in. Inside this fantastic box, there were two flavours of fajita seasoning mix packets – hot and mild, a jar of green jalapenos, a bottle of soured cream topping, a bottle of salsa, onion & garlic dip, a packet of nacho rolls and their plain soft tortillas.
The House of Magic
The House of Magic will be released in cinemas nationwide in 2D and 3D from 25th July 2014. It is about an abandoned young cat Thunder seeking shelter from a storm who sneaks into a mysterious mansion owned by retired magician Lawrence, aka “The Illustrious Lorenzo”.
Alpha and Omega 3 – The Great Wolf Games DVD review
Alpha and Omega 3 – The Great Wolf Games is the new American computer-animated comedy/adventure film. This is the third film in the series and was released on 14th April 2014 just in time for Easter.
We are fortunate to get a copy of the DVD to watch while both children are still off school. This is a 43 minute film which comes with two special features: Great Games Amazing Maze and Wolf Fun Facts Trivia.
One stop cosy night in
It is not very often we have a cosy night in together but when we do, it’s nice to get a few treats. Instead of getting our stuff from our local Lichfield Debenhams store (read here about two fellow bloggers and me attended our local store VIP event), I now have the comfort of ordering a list of items online from Debenhams.
We don’t have babysitters so it’s not often we have a real cosy night together with just the two of us. For tonight, both children are upstairs asleep.
Room on the Broom Theatre
Last Thursday, the lovely people from Town Hall & Symphony Hall kindly offered my family tickets to watch Room on the Broom Theatre. We had a fantastic time and I would recommend this show to anyone with children who is over 4 years old. The recommend age is 3+ years old.
Jakks Pacific Smurfs 2 launch party at Odeon
Last Sunday, we were fortunate to get invited to watch The Smurf 2 at Odeon together with Anna Marikar (click here to read her post) and Blue Bear Wood. When I was young, I loved watching Smurfs cartoons with my sister and she had a huge collection of Smurfs figurines. Shame that my mother threw them away when we moved house. How I wish I could pass it on to my children as Ms C has fallen in love with the latest Jakks Pacific Smurf-tastic toys!
Mr K is on BBC1 Doctors!
A few months ago, I posted that Mr K is starring in BBC1 Doctors. It was aired this afternoon and I was excited for him! I was very pleased that he looked so natural on TV. We were all ready and sat in front of the TV. When it was on, Mr K was so embarrassed that he ran off. He is too shy and self-conscious to see himself on TV.
The episode he appears in is from series 15 episode 41 of 222. It was 28 minutes long and he did appear in a number of scenes. You can read my diary of his shooting for Day 1, Day 2 and last day.
