Celebrating National Grandparents Day with John Adams

This Sunday 7th October 2018 marks one of the most important days in our lives, for National Grandparents Day. We are celebrating this day with a selection of John Adams’ heritage games such as Rummikub, Triominos and Othello. These classic games are what our parents had played with us when we were younger.

Monopoly Cheaters Edition

Who doesn’t like to cheat? I love that Monopoly are always looking for ways to improve the game and this time, I think they have nailed it! I do occasionally “bend the rules” for myself during a Monopoly game. Why would I want to pay rent or lose the game to my children!

Anyway, this Monopoly Cheaters Edition gives you a licence to cheat! How awesome is that! I am very impressed with this game. But not all of my family members love it. Ms C didn’t like the idea of cheating!

Little Dragons Café Review

Little Dragons Café is made by the same creator of Harvest Moon – Yasuhiro Wada, for PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™. This is an adorable simulation single-player role-playing game that will be loved by many young children! In this game, you learn about harvesting crops, cooking food, raising your very own dragon and keeping your café alive!

In this game, you are pretty much doing the same routine over and over again, but Ms C loves it and hasn’t grown tired of it yet. Every day there is something new and a simple task for her to fulfil. She loves a straightforward game that does not offer too many challenging tasks.

Red’s Kingdom on Nintendo Switch

Red’s Kingdom is a single-player adventure puzzle action game for all ages. This puzzle game was originally released on iOS devices only (not Android devices), but is now out on Nintendo Switch™ via Nintendo eShop, with an RRP of £8.99.

This is a great news for Nintendo Switch fans, as you can play it on the go. This game is cleverly designed, packed full of puzzles to solve and it is the type of game Mr K loves. The levels are challenging but nicely balanced in that they’re not too easy and not too tough. Some of them require a bit more thought though and planning for up to five moves ahead.
