Back to School with GB Posters

In less than two weeks’ time, the summer holidays will be over and children will be back to school! Will this be a ‘yay’ or ‘nay’? Do you like to plan ahead or leave everything until the very last minute? This is the time to start getting organised before it is too late! Well, unless you live in Scotland where the school term has already started!

We were thrilled that GB Posters sent us a range of awesome accessories and stationery to help our children get back into their school mode as soon as possible! I hope this post will give you some inspiration so you can start planning now!

Posterlounge Review

Posterlounge have a range of inspirational posters and art for every room in your house. They have the most amazing range of art that will give your wall a new lease of life with their unique and creative art works.

I am so pleased to work with them on this occasion and receive this beautiful hanging herbs 80 cm x 40 cm alu-dibond poster for my kitchen. I always wanted a picture for my kitchen and now I have finally found it.

To search for the right picture for my kitchen, I initially searched through their kitchen section and browsed through the list. Then I narrow it down to either fruit or herb pictures. I eventually chose this hanging herbs picture.

Designing Your Child’s Bedroom

Decorating and designing your child’s bedroom can be tricky. For one thing, they could easily turn around not long after it is done and have completely different interests. How do you get around this and how exactly can you decorate their room in the first places. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Father’s Day Gift with Snapfish

Need some inspiration for personalised gifts and cards? There are many ways to show how much we love our father this coming Father’s Day. We have made handprint cards, bookmarks and many more. We had also made a few personalised gifts using Snapfish by turning the children’s art into a book and family poster!

Both my children love arts and crafts. They will both happily sit there and design their own storyboard, cards, paintings, etc. So I set both of them a challenge to design me ‘Our Family Name Poster’. In no time, they both presented me their best drawing of our family.

5 Father’s Day Homemade Gift Ideas

In my early days in Singapore, we hardly ever celebrated Father’s Day as my dad was always working until late and it was not as highly marketed by shops, or promoted by schools. Ever since I started to work, I realised that what my father did to provide for our family of five plus his own mother was a very hard life. I had never had the chance to show my appreciation to him at all as he has already passed away.

Now I am glad to have this opportunity to make something together with my children to show our appreciation to my husband. Baker Ross has just launched a new range of Father’s Day craft ideas. I have received the Toolbox Photo Frame kit, Father’s Day Bookmark kit, Car Wooden Desk Tidy kit, Father’s Day Car Card and Father’s Day Foam Stickers.

Baby Announcement with PaperShaker

Recently, my sister gave birth to two gorgeous baby boys and I would like to take this chance to make her a baby announcement card. PaperShaker has it all! They have Baby Announcement and Baby Thank You cards, Kids/Adult party invitations and Wedding stationery.
In Baby Announcement, there are so many to choose from and after spending 15 minutes looking at them all. I finally narrow them down to a few by filtering by gender, colour and photo etc. This is what the final product looks like:

#MADdayout Poster Friends

Has anyone heard of Poster Friend? I had not until a lovely lady told me about it and allowed me an opportunity to review it.
Basically, Poster Friend is a poster that uses your Facebook account’s images to make a poster. They comes in 6 different sizes from square small, square large, A2 landscape, A2 portrait, A1 landscape and A1 portrait. Price start from £12 – £25.
It is a straight forward app to use as long as you have a Facebook account and plenty of photos in your Facebook albums. Firstly, select the size of your poster and there are 3 options for the number of photos. Then connect your Facebook account and you are allowed to add two friends. Photos from yours and your friend’s shared albums (not private) are then made available for you to select from.
Once you select your photos, they allow you to re-arrange your photos, change the text, select margin size and background colour.
Please be aware that the photo will be cropped into square dimensions. It works better for landscape photos than portrait. This is an example of the photo on the poster and the original photo. As you can see, my children who at the bottom of the photo have been cut off from the poster. So it is best to select your photos carefully.

Paper Themes Personalised Poster

I love having a personalised poster as it is very unique and personalised to myself or family. Paper Themes have offered me a personalised poster for review. This is something that I couldn’t refuse.
Paper Themes offer a fantastic range of personalised posters to create a unique gift for someone special! There are designs to suit a whole array of occasions including; weddings, births, anniversaries, to celebrate your family or even map out worldly travels! Each design allows you to add special personal details such as names, locations, dates & some designs even allow for images! These beautiful personalised posters are perfect for the home or to decorate wedding & party venues.

Primark – Finally We got Paid!

Last year December, Ms C had done two days of modelling for Primark to cover in-store window posters for UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. After 7 months, we finally got paid from Primark after a lot of mis-communication between the One Agency and Primark.
