Decorate Your Wall with Modern Tapestries

28 October 2020 by Eileen

Have you ever thought of using modern tapestries to decorate your wall? Tapestries are not usually something people think to decorate with. But they can encourage tranquil moments, enlighten the human soul and are great subjects of conversation. It gives the wall a different kind of texture too.

Decorate Your Wall with Modern Tapestries

These days, it is so easy to find stunning and vibrant artist-designed tapestries online. You no longer need to leave your home and to travel far, just search for cool tapestries for your home. They can be made from a few different types of material and method, like polyester and hand-woven tapestries. Each gives a different texture and look!

Back in Medieval times, tapestries were first developed in Europe with a functional and practical purpose. They simply used them to decorate castles and large churches and also to show off their social status. It was also used to help insulate from the draft and cold large stone buildings before the invention of central heating system.

Historically, the popular subjects for tapestries were biblical stories, battles, mythological creatures, legends and landscapes. However, times had changed. Wall hangings make a revival in modern design and many artists are licensing their artwork to be turned into tapestries. Now you can use these modern tapestries to elevate your personal space, and add warmth and richness to your home. Additionally, they are brilliant for filling those awkwardly empty walls or narrow hallways, especially for art lovers.

There is no denying the impact of tapestries in the home deco style. They are a wonderful way to decorate your home to suit your personality and style! Did you know that you can even create your own custom tapestry? Just upload your favourite artwork/image to the website and turn them into your very own tapestry! With three different sizes, tapestries can help fill all the spaces on your wall! You can also use them as a room divider, sofa covers and many more. So do you think a tapestry for your home?
