My Daughter’s Top Toys for Girls 2014

This year we have been very fortunate to have reviewed a wide range of toys for both of my children. We are lucky that their age gap is quite close so they tend to play together and share their toys. But of course, they do have different interests and so they will not always play with the same toys. Anyway, these are the toys for girls that my daughter have picked as it contains her favourite characters and toys for pretend play.

Propel Flying Start

Last week, I was fortunate to be in London for my son’s video shoot that I could also squeeze in the chance to attend the Propel event at the RAF museum. My husband and son would definitely have loved to attend too but due to my son’s shooting, they both had to stay put while Ms C and I went.

It was a lovely event! Propel hosted it at the RAF museum which was a fantastic location to display and demo their Propel models. We were so excited when we saw so many different types of remote control helicopters. They have taken the US by storm and have now come to the UK.

Anki DRIVE Car Racing Review

If you are a fan of racing cars or The Gadget Show, you may have seen Anki DRIVE (as shown on The Gadget Show on 13th October). This is truly the best interactive car racing game. My husband and son are huge fans of racing cars and this Anki DRIVE has taken car model racing sets to a whole new level.

Super Lottie Launched

Yesterday saw the launch of the Super Lottie outfit which is the inspiration of six year old Lily, from Ohio, USA, who created the winning design as part of a global competition, independently judged by the Brave Girls Alliance, earlier in the year. This is the first time that a crowd-sourced design by a child has gone into commercial production. As part of her entry, Lily was asked to define Super Lottie’s abilities. Lily’s response was one designed to inspire girls who play with Lottie dolls, to acknowledge and embrace their potential, and accept who they are: ‘Super Lottie has the power to be anything, to do anything, and to make the world a better place. She is unique and special in her own way’.

Palace Pets Royal Carriage & Fashion Tails Pet

Ms C is no stranger to Palace Pets as we had reviewed their Palace Pets and salon range. She still loves to play with these as well as the app (free to download) and so for us, they pass the longevity test. Each Disney princess has their own adorable Palace Pets friends to play with. Each of the animal’s friends have a resemblance to their respective master, whether it is in their look or in their accessories. The app allows children to pamper their virtual pets in the magical app.

Palace Pets are suitable from aged 4 onwards and the range includes:

  • Furry Tail Friends: Teacup, Beauty, Berry, Treasure, Pumpkin and Blossom.
  • Primp & Pamper Ponies: Petit, Bloom and Bibbidy.
  • Talking & Singing Pets: Treasure, Pumpkin and Berry
  • Fashion Tails: Teacup and beauty.
  • Pamper & Beauty Salon, Beauty Bliss set, Blondie Bliss set and Royal Carriage

TMNT Movie Combat Turtle Michelangelo

To coincide with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie releasing in the UK on 17 October 2014, Flairs have an exciting range of the Turtles figures. These Combat Turtles are a replica of the characters featured in the movie. They are the scariest set ever and are highly detailed, with multiple points of articulation.

There are four Combat Turtle figures: Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo. They are suitable for aged 4 onwards. We have received Michelangelo which comes in his soft rubbery orange signature gear with his double nun-chucks and non-removable hoodie.
