This coming Halloween, do you have any plans for your children? Anyone having a party? Each year, my children and I will go to our village hall to celebrate.  There is usually a best pumpkin carving competition, a ghost walk around the village, tarot card reading, apple bobbing, smack the rat etc. I didn’t celebrate Halloween until I had my two little monsters! I really enjoy getting into the spirit of the celebration with my children and they do too. What makes cakes stand out? That would be the stand of course! Seriously though, without them, they would be so plain and boring. I previously had a cheap plastic cake stand and whilst functional, it didn’t add to the experience. So I was on the hunt for a new cake stand. In 2005 I had laser eye treatment after 15 years of wearing glasses. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The treatment cost me over two grand and the surgery was over in about 10 minutes. Being glasses free has had such a positive impact on my life. Since then, I have been able to go swimming or diving without using prescription goggles, and take part in fitness activities without my glasses steaming up.Looking after my eye sight is very important to me now. I do not want to be called four-eyes girl: 四眼妹 again.  That was my nickname from school.

Both Mr K and I suffer from severe hay fever. Each time during the hay fever season, we both have to take anti-histamine drugs on a regular basis and use eyes drops. Last year, I took a home screen test which confirmed that I have an allergy to grass pollen. So my husband has to cut our lawn and I am also extremely careful to not go out when my neighbours mow their lawns.
