John Lewis Microfibre Anti Allergy Duvet

2 September 2013 by Eileen

Can you believe that the Summer is nearly over and it is September now! It is getting colder and some people have already put their heating back on. Now it is time to put away the summer tog duvet and swap in the autumn/winter! This John Lewis’s Microfibre Anti Allergy Duvet came just at the right time!  This duvet is 25% lighter than standard hollow fibre. It is made from 80% microfibre, 20% Amicor™ duvet with 200 thread count cotton cover. It is very soft and comfortable to touch. I’m amazed at how light it is yet it still keeps us warm all night.

Microfibre Anti Allergy Duvet

This is a double duvet measuring 200 cm by 200 cm which is big enough to cover the width of my king size bed and it is over hanging. It is at the right length for both of us to cover up to our neck. Each of the corners are very well stitched. As it is made from Amicor™ fibre, it creates a barrier against dust mites. It can be machine washed at 60 degrees. We have not tried it out as our washing machine is not big enough to do so.

We have used it continuously for four nights and it still feels very comfortable and soft as before.  Last weekend, both of us refused to wake up as we were so cosy and snug in our bed!  My son, Mr K was so jealous that he had asked if he can have it too!  He must be sick of his cheap hollow fibre duvet that doesn’t keep him as snug.

Overall, we are extremely happy with this duvet and give it 5 stars out of 5.  It is great value for money with a 10 year guarantee!  I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of buying.  They are no doubt one of the best duvets we have ever used!  It has made such a big difference to improving our sleep. Also it doesn’t smell of animal product as my previous duck feather duvet did. We would definitely buy it in future for my children or any family members.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
