Halloween Paper Plate Crafts

15 October 2015 by Eileen

This is my tenth challenge as a Bostik Blogger and this month’s theme is Halloween. Once again, I have received a crafting box packed with coloured paper, ribbons, foams, Blu Tack Glu Dots, Blu Tack Glu & Fix and many more Halloween themed items.

As we were provided three mini paper plates, we decided to make three different types of Halloween paper plate crafts: Pumpkin, Spider and Web.

These are very easy to make and are great for hanging on the door or making into a banner etc. The materials you will need are:

  • Blu Tack Glu Dots
  • Paper plates (coloured preferable, otherwise paint it)
  • Pipe cleaners (yellow, black, white etc.)
  • Hole punch
  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • Ribbons
  • Googly eyes (or use pearl balls and colour the eye ball in the middle)
  • Black foam
  • Buttons
  • Leaves (or use green felt)
  • White string
  • Stickers of spiders etc.

To make the pumpkin, use the scissors to cut the eyes, nose and mouth as shown. Then use the Glu Dots to stick the foam onto the orange paper plate. To make it look scarier, add buttons on the eyes. Punch a hole on the paper plate and add the ribbon on it. Lastly, add the green leaves or felt on the top of the paper plate.

To make the spider, cut the pipe cleaners into half and staple 8 legs onto the black paper plate as shown. Then colour the staples in black using a black marker pen. Add googly eyes to it. We used pearl balls as we ran out of googly eyes!

Finally, to make a spider web, slightly cut the rim of the paper plate and continue this pattern all the way around the rim. Then thread the string around the plate and add stickers on it. Punch a hole on the paper plate and add the ribbon on it.

Now they are ready to hang and display! I am so looking forward to our next Bostik craft’s theme which is snow!

These are the crafts we have done so far as a Bostik Craft Bloggers.
