Ms C on Wilko Packaging
Early April, Ms C went for her modelling job and now her photo has hit the shelves! I think it has been there for quite some time but I forgot to look out for it! I found that she is on the Wilko Play: Ice Cream and Waffle Dough Set and also on the Cleaning Trolley.

Our Entry Kids Capture the Colour Challenge
Following the success of last summer’s photo blogging competition Capture the Colour, Travel Supermarket has teamed up with Venture Photography to launch ‘Kid’s Capture the Colour’, an exciting challenge for children aged 15 or under to get creative and photograph the world around them. I was the 101st applicant. Fortunately for us however, someone dropped outgiving us the opportunity to get a free digital camera from Travel Supermarket to get my children to capture the colours of red, blue, green, yellow and white while on their summer holidays.
The first photo is the RED colour. This is the shoe house in Wonderland Midlands theme park. My son and I stood on the steps while waiting for everyone to clear off before we took this shot. Luckily, we didn’t need to wait for too long. Inside this shoe there are a lot of children and the old woman. It is based on the nursery rhyme – There was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.
Road Trip down the Lanes
Today, I would like to share with you my secret lanes. I’ve lived in Lichfield for quite sometime but not many people know about these lanes and the small village of Wall. But of course it is famous for Letocetum, the remains of a Roman settlement.
HelloFresh! Happy Cooking! Yummy Food!
Recently, I came across HelloFresh through Twitter and they were kind enough to send me a sample box to try out. Inside there are three different recipe cards and with all the ingredients inside the box to cook each meal for two person. These recipes are not the usual meals that I would cook for my family as I usually cook Asian food. So I was extremely happy to learn and cook these new recipes.
Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights
Last week, we went to Warwick Castle to meet Mike the Knight and bought our six Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights with us. Come and follow our adventure! Once upon a time, there were two warring teams of knights, the Griffin team and the Dragon team. One day, they were teleported to a mystical land called Warwick and their only hope of returning home was to climb the mound to shoot the troll who lives in the church. But first they must battle each other…
Meeting Mike the Knight at Warwick Castle
We had a fab time meeting Mike the Knight at Warwick Castle. I would like to thank HIT Entertainment Ltd who organised the trip and Warwick Castle for providing the event. This is our children’s first visit to the glorious Warwick castle and to learn about medieval history, magic, myth and adventure. It only took us 50 minutes to reach the castle from Lichfield.

Vistaprint Photo Book Review
My little girl turned four last Tuesday. To mark this day, I made her a Happy Birthday photo book from Vistaprint, making a memory that will last her a lifetime. I have a keepsake box/time capsule box for both of my children containing items like their first scans to their first shoes. A photo book is something that I had not made before and this will be great for her reminisce over in future.
Vistaprint has been around for over 25 years and besides printing photo books, they also print photos on T-shirts to business cards. There is bound to be something for everyone if you need your photos printed as there is plenty to choose from. Photo Books comes in varies shapes and sizes. The one that I made is the Landscape XL (39 cm x 29 cm). There are two ways of making your photo book: either download their Vistaprint app on your pc (allows 120 pages) or via their website (allows 70 pages).
Portrait Photo Canvas from PhotoBox
We have hung our family portraits above our bed for a number of years now, ever since the kids have been able to pose nicely for photos. I enjoy the constant reminder that I am fortunate to have them and for us to have each other. So I was so glad to be offered to review this photo canvas! PhotoBox offers three different formats (Rectangular, Square and Panoramic) and various sizes of Photo Canvas. I went for the biggest size to suit our wall, rectangular 76.2cm x 50.8cm (30 x 20 inch) with photo wrapping around edges.
Maplin 6-Inch Calendar Clock Digital Photo Frame
I remember 20 years ago, I had to beg my mum to let me develop the film from my disposable camera. Every birthday around that time, I would receive a photo frame. It was an ‘in’ thing during that time.
Nowadays, people rarely print photos and frame it on a photo frame to place it on a desk. Times have changed and everything is going digital. We all love the latest gadgets and how they made our life easier. So I was excited to review this lovely Maplin 6-Inch Calendar Clock with built-in Digital Photo Frame. Why print photos when I can just pop it on an SD card in this gadget to showcase a slideshow of photos?
Our Snowman
We all love snow for building snowmen! This is our Chopstick snowman made by my husband and children. It took them at least 15 minutes. They all enjoyed building it.
Magic of Christmas
“This is my entry for the #O2GuruMagicofXmas Linky, sponsored by O2 GuruTV – the home of tech help and inspiration”
We are not Christian but living in the UK, our children more or less influenced to celebrate Christmas. Naturally, they pick this up from school and friends. We don’t want them to miss out and so we try to get into the spirit and let them enjoy the magic of Christmas.
In 2009, my immediate family and relatives flew over from Singapore to celebrate Christmas with us. That was the best time of the year to have them over with us. We had the best Christmas party ever.
In 2010, we went for a Santa Claus Fun Run. Look at the snow behind us! All of us got to dress up as Santa to help raise money for charity.
