Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights

2 July 2013 by Eileen

Last week, we went to Warwick Castle to meet Mike the Knight and bought our six Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights with us. Come and follow our adventure! Once upon a time, there were two warring teams of knights, the Griffin team and the Dragon team.  One day, they were teleported to a mystical land called Warwick and their only hope of returning home was to climb the mound to shoot the troll who lives in the church. But first they must battle each other…

Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights

Let’s fight!
Team Griffin: “We are going to take you all down!”
Team Dragon: “Ha! You can try but you will fail!”
In the meantime, someone has sneaked out from the team. Who is it?

Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights 1

Team Griffin: “Man down! Quick! Get some back up!”
Team Dragon: “Not so fast!”
Wait a minute, it seems someone has reached the top to shoot down the troll in the church!  With one shot, straight and true, the archer from Team Griffin downs the troll.
Team Griffin:”Ha! See you losers!”
And with that, Team Griffin teleport home leaving Team Dragon stranded in Warwick.

Schleich Dragon & Griffin Knights 2

Adapted from Mr K’s story. We had received six figurines:

  • Schleich Griffin Knight on Horse
  • Schleich Griffin Knight with Bow
  • Schleich Griffin Knight with Sword
  • Schleich Dragon Knight on Horse with Lance
  • Schleich Dragon Knight with Crossbow
  • Schleich Dragon Knight with Sword

Schleich has recently launched these new knights to the market this year.  Rather than the clichéd battle against good & evil, powerful dragon knights will be throwing the gauntlet down to the wise order of griffins. Each figurine is made of top quality hand finished paint and come in shimmering armour, flowing capes and fearsome expressions. Both horse riders from each faction has a magnet on their bottom to prevent them from falling off too easily. This is a very clever idea. The Dragon Knight with lance’s right arm is able to move 180° while the Griffin Knight has a removable axe. I rate these 5 stars out of 5. I love the ranges as they provide endless imagination for a child and each are finished in great detail. There are inexpensive, have fun facts, boosts creativity and encourage team or family play. They are made from top quality materials and will last a long time.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

That’s fantastic! What a great way to show a review! They look brilliant, my boys love knights and have several mismatched ones. The idea of having magnets in their bum so they don’t fall off the horse while you play is brilliant, much better than the usual sticky out bits 🙂

Love the photos, such a clever idea to take them to the castle with you. We are big Schliech fans so I will look out for these
