Portrait Photo Canvas from PhotoBox

25 May 2013 by Eileen

We have hung our family portraits above our bed for a number of years now, ever since the kids have been able to pose nicely for photos.  I enjoy the constant reminder that I am fortunate to have them and for us to have each other.  So I was so glad to be offered to review this photo canvas! PhotoBox offers three different formats (Rectangular, Square and Panoramic) and various sizes of Photo Canvas. I went for the biggest size to suit our wall, rectangular 76.2cm x 50.8cm (30 x 20 inch) with photo wrapping around edges.

Overall it is fairly straightforward to set up an account, upload photos and pay by cards or paypal. I had no trouble at all. There is no software to download. It will also tell you the quality of your photo. I think for a canvas that big, it is best to use at least 4MB to achieve average quality.

Quality – Rating 5 stars out of 5

I am really pleased with it. The canvas is printed on polycotton canvas. It is neatly stretched by machine onto a 3.8cm wooden frame.  The wooden frame looks very new and clean. The quality of the print is top notch and the colour/shade and definition are very authentic to the digital image. They have included wall hooks. Normally when you order from other photo canvas shops, they expect you to pay extra for the accessories so it was a really nice surprise that they included it.

Delivery – Rating 5 stars out of 5

As PhotoBox had promised, it took just two working days for production. I ordered online on Monday night and by Wednesday I had received an email to say they had despatched.

I was impressed by the courier DPD they use! They sent me an email and text to tell me when they were arriving and if I would like to get a different delivery slot or rearranged. They given me an hour slot from 9 – 10 am. I received it at 9.10 am on the Thursday. Could not be happier!

Packaging – Rating 5 stars out of 5

It was very well packaged and protected. There was no unnecessary packaging. I have kept the packaging it in my garage, just in case I ever move I could use it to protect my photo canvas.

Value for Money – Rating 4 stars out of 5

Their prices are very competitive. They have regular offers so check out their website for more information!

Overall, I am very pleased and I will go back again.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
