Move over autumn and make way for a cosy warm winter. As the daylight is getting shorter each day, that can only mean one thing – that winter has finally arrived! My favourite outdoor activity is going back inside and getting cosy in my cosy winter fashion. I am not braving this cold weather if I can help it. The festive season is a period of commemoration and joy, but it can also be stressful. It’s easy to get engulfed with all the preparations that need to be done before guests arrive. But don’t worry. The sun is still shining, but once Autumn comes upon us, it’s everyone’s favourite scary holiday: Halloween! Considering the year that we have had so far, we are sure that a lot of people will be looking for any excuse to have a good party. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some Halloween decor and fancy dress ideas.
It is not very often we have a cosy night in together but when we do, it’s nice to get a few treats. Instead of getting our stuff from our local Lichfield Debenhams store (read here about two fellow bloggers and me attended our local store VIP event), I now have the comfort of ordering a list of items online from Debenhams.
We don’t have babysitters so it’s not often we have a real cosy night together with just the two of us. For tonight, both children are upstairs asleep.
This Christmas, I am counting down with this gorgeous Red Apple Wreath advent calendar from the Yankee Candle. I’m looking forward to opening each door to reveal a tea light candle in one of six seasonal scents and there is an extra special treat on the 24th. In order to show you what is inside this box, I opened the top which revealed 25 tea light candles. Each candle comes in a transparent holder with six different aromas of Snow In Love, Balsam & Cedar, Merry Marshmallow, Red Apple Wreath, Snowflake Cookie and Sparkling Cinnamon. Each candle will burn in 4 – 6 hours time so make sure to place them somewhere safe.
