It is quite scary that in few weeks time, my little girl Ms C is going to attend primary school. I am getting mentally prepared to sort out their stationary before the school starts! I am pleased to come across Miffy through Twitter and fellow bloggers. As many may know, Miffy has been around for more than 60 years and currently Miffy merchandise is sold across 5 continents, there is a TV series and recently a movie.
Catchphrase is a British game show where contestants have to guess the catch phrases as depicted by the animations on the screen. The shows first aired in the eighties and recently, there is a new series on ITV. If you miss the show, why not download the game? The multi player app was launched recently which allows you to play up to two friends at the same time, while also includes 40 new multi player rounds and 65 new randomised catch phrases.

We have been super active this Summer school holiday. Not only have we been out and about to many fantastic places, we have also come up with activities to do at home including baking! Both my children love to help and bake so it is great spending time with them teaching them a life skill.
Today, our relatives came and Mr K offered to bake a cake for our guests. His lovely aunty helped him along. I won’t bore you with how we bake the cake. It is quite easy to get recipes or pre-mix if you don’t fancy buying your own ingredients. Do take a look at Pyrex Moist Apple Cake for an example of a recipe. Memory games are great games for children to play. It improves observational skills and helps to train your brain to use and grow your ability to remember. Last Thursday, the lovely people from Town Hall & Symphony Hall kindly offered my family tickets to watch Room on the Broom Theatre. We had a fantastic time and I would recommend this show to anyone with children who is over 4 years old. The recommend age is 3+ years old.
As many will know, Pyrex is a good and reliable brand for their kitchenware. Now they have improved a lot on their design and to complement the modern home. Recently, they came out with the Kitchen Lab sets. It was our second Twitter party giveaway. I found out recently that they are stocked in The Range and Dunelm Mill. They come with a shaker and measuring jug.

Earlier this week, I was invited to attend the Official Monopoly Empire UK Unveil at Hamleys. We were the earliest people to arrive as the staff set up the store. While we were waiting to get a peek at the game, Mr K and Ms C were each given an air guitar balloon and colouring to do. We also met up with my friend Anna Marikar. Please read her post here. Last Sunday, we were fortunate to get invited to watch The Smurf 2 at Odeon together with Anna Marikar (click here to read her post) and Blue Bear Wood. When I was young, I loved watching Smurfs cartoons with my sister and she had a huge collection of Smurfs figurines. Shame that my mother threw them away when we moved house. How I wish I could pass it on to my children as Ms C has fallen in love with the latest Jakks Pacific Smurf-tastic toys!
This Summer has been fabulous for us as a family. We’ve been able to get out and about so much more easily and it puts a whole different complexion on things when it’s been warm and sunny. A by-product of that though is that we’ve been eating so many ice lollies, ice creams and we’ve been using so much ice from our ice maker that it’s been working non-stop. The Chill Factor Slushy Maker now allows us to add ‘slushies’ to that list too.
Last week we were very busy and went to London for a mini break. While we were there, Anna Marikar (click here to read her event) kindly let me know about a Mr Muscle’s children’s cupcake decoration class. We were fortunate that there was a last minute drop out so we were able to attend!
Hatton Adventure Farm is located in the Warwickshire countryside with many family activities to offer for young and old. We all had a great time there and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Recently, my sister gave birth to two gorgeous baby boys and I would like to take this chance to make her a baby announcement card. PaperShaker has it all! They have Baby Announcement and Baby Thank You cards, Kids/Adult party invitations and Wedding stationery. In Baby Announcement, there are so many to choose from and after spending 15 minutes looking at them all.
