Tomy have a new range of Britains Farm Toys which are 1:32 scale models made from die-cast metal. These are suitable for age 3 onwards. These models are great for role-play and development, and are suitable for indoor play and are collectible.
We were sent these four Britains Farm Toy 1:32 range: John Deere 7930 Tractor, John Deere 990 Round Baler, Land Rover & Sheep Trailer set and Spearhead Orbital Reach Mower.
Rockets and Comets is one of the six new releases for 2014 by Orchard Toys! We had the opportunity to try it out at the Toy Fair 2014 and both children loved it.
Rockets and Comets is very similar to the classic game Snakes and Ladders. The concept is the same but set in a space theme and Orchard Toys have added an extremely fun variation to the game. Now if you land on the black holes, you will have to spin the spinner to see which black holes you are going to get transported into it.
Pirate Race Game is another exciting new release for 2014 by Orchard Toys! This is a memory and matching game, where players travel around the island, matching cards to build a pirate picture, before racing to the middle of the island to capture the Pirates’ treasure.
Farmyard Friends is aimed at age 2+ for 1 – 4 players. This is similar to Orchard Toys Post Box Game. Both have the same concept about teaching matching and sorting for very young children. But this in set you learn about the ducks, pigs, cows and horses.
Tomy have a new range of Britains Big Farm. They are 1:16 scale authentic models made from durable plastic, and with the addition of lights and sounds to the farm vehicles. These are suitable for aged 3 onwards.
These chunky models are great for role-play and development and suitable for indoor play too.
We were sent these four Britains Big Farm range: Land Rover Defender, Pig Trailer with pigs, John Deere 6190R Remote Controller Tractor and Big Farm Hay Elevator and Four Bales.
Land Rover Defender
This Land Rover has great attention to detail. The steering wheel turns the front wheels. On the bonnet, there are two buttons. The left button makes a car honking sound with headlights whilst the right button makes engine sounds with headlights. It required 3 x AAA batteries which is included.
It also come with a removable grey cover and the back door slides out.
Gross magic is not everyone’s cup of tea but it can be so much fun! This Gross Magic is suitable for 8 years onwards to adult. Some of the magic tricks are quite simple that my 6 year old is able to do it but with plenty of help from an adult.

If you like to have nice curly hair or frizzy hair out of control, you may like to take a look at John Frieda Frizz-Ease Range. My hair is straight and coloured. I had a perm done in a salon down in London 6 years ago and I remember I had to re-perm my hair twice. My hair is so straight that the chemical wasn’t strong enough to curl it. So before my wedding night, my best friends had to use curling tongs to re-curl it. With all that rough treatment, my hair became very brittle. How I wish I had this Frizz-Ease range then!
Not long ago, I mentioned about how Beko’s new air-cool technology cut the cost of laundry and how I installed the washing machine with the help of my husband. It is very straightforward but required a lot of strength to take out the transit bolts. The washing machine is 65 cm deep by 60 cm wide by 84 cm tall. Mask ‘n’ Ask from Drumond Park is a board game to guess who am I. It is for two to four players and for aged around 7 and above. There are 30 beautifully designed double-sided masks: colourful animal faces on one side, and jokey-looking human characters on the reverse. On the animal side, kids might find a cow, rabbit or elephant, for instance. And on the human side, the mask maybe a policeman, doctor or pilot.
