Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker Review

20 January 2014 by Eileen

Following the massive success of the Chill Factor Slushy Maker (I reviewed it with video) which Character Options brought out last year, they have now brought out an ice cream maker.

Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker

With the amazing ChillFactor™ Ice Cream Maker you can make your very own ice cream treats at home in minutes!  Simply freeze the Ice Cream Maker, add your ingredients, give it a little shake then squeeze till there is no liquid sound.

Before you start using the ice cream maker, disassemble everything and give them a wash.  There are instructions included which shows you the step-by-step in my video.  Next pop it into the freezer for 4 – 6 hours or until it is frozen.

In this video, I will show you how to dis/assemble and how to make ice cream.  It is so easy that my son can do it too!  We had pre-mixed the mixture with 100 ml of single cream, 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and 1 teaspoon of caster sugar (optional).  You can also add vanilla essence. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/LuWSRDtXLP0

The outer cup is made from soft silicon and the inner lining is like strips of ice packs.  They are easy to wash and disassemble.  It comes with a long handle spoon too.  It looks extremely attractive and can be easily stored in the freezer.

Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker disassemble

Each cup can take about 100 ml of mixture. This is a good amount for younger children but not enough to share. I love the ideas of having instant ice cream whenever you like!  But it is a shame that it will take another 4 – 6 hours to freeze again before we can re-use it. I rate this product 4.5 stars out of 5. It is definitely a great gift for adults and children alike!

ChillFactor™ Ice cream maker costs £14.99 and is available from all good supermarkets and toy stores or can be ordered online at http://www.character-online.com.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

This looks like fun! Would definitely be something for a sunny day and probably cheaper in the longrun than ice-cream from vans.
