What is on your wishlist?

19 January 2014 by Eileen

Have any of you got a next generation games console yet?  The PS4 is high on the wishlist for us.  Our current PS3 has become integral to our home entertainment, and it would be a natural upgrade for us.  With our PS3:

  • we all watch blu rays and DVDs
  • we watch, record and pause live TV with the Play TV peripheral
  • I like to use it for catch-up TV, e.g. BBC iPlayer
  • the children like to play games like Skylanders
  • Mr C likes to play first person shooters like Battlefield and Call of Duty

What is on your wishlist

These latter two are the main reasons for looking to upgrade.  We have seen the graphics for these next-gen games and they are just awesome! Faster frame rate, higher resolution and increased levels of detail make for an even better game.

Playing these games, particularly the first person shooters, you need to be able to react quickly and Mr C has installed these Gioteck Real Triggers on to his controller for a better feel and to avoid slipping off the L2 and R2 buttons. They look really well made as I couldn’t tell that they are add-ons until he told me.

Gioteck have a history of manufacturing quality gaming peripherals to enhance your gaming experience. Check out their full range from their website.

As well as the Gioteck Real Triggers, he’s also been looking to upgrade his first person shooting experience by getting a decent headset. He’s held off for now as we want to get the PS4 first to ensure compatibility. I must admit that I’m looking forward to him getting a headset too as it means I’ll get some peace and quiet! Whilst the headset market is still relatively new for the PS4, Gioteck do have PS4 headsets currently available. Anyone else looking to get or have already got the PS4? What’s your favourite thing about it?

Disclosure: This is a collaboration.

We are a games console free house for the time being anyway. I’m sure peer pressure will see that change in the years to come

My hubby got the PS4 for his birthday from his fantastic, beautiful and amazing wife LOL. The graphics are really quite good on Call of Duty Ghosts.
