Running out of ideas on what to do this summer? We have been busy since day one of the summer holidays! Each day, choosing a letter from the alphabet in sequence, we have been trying out different activities and food. For letter F, we did these crafts:
The Jewel Starter Set is the perfect set for new Aqua beaders. It comes with simple templates to follow and it lets you create all kinds of creatures and objects. Aqua beads are small plastic beads which can be used to make pictures and then you use water to fuse them together to make the design in 2D or 3D.
This coming 5th July will mark 10 years since Peppa Pig was first broadcast on Nick Jr. As of this week, fans can upload videos of their own oinks online to join the Nick Jr. Peppa Pig’s Oinkestra at nickjr.co.uk or through the Nick Jr. UK Facebook page to receive a Peppa Pig activity pack.
Last week, Baker Ross sent me a box of their summertime fun crafts! We have been having fun painting the wooden birdhouse kits, creating beautiful beach hut mosaic coasters, threading camper van keyrings and sewing a tropical fish cushion.
Recently, Duck Tape invited 8 bloggers to join in the #duckworldcup sweepstake and I have been randomly allocation Group F which are Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran and Nigeria. If my group win, I would win a collection of craft kits, including brand new colours and patterns of Duck Tape.
Recently, through a fellow blogger, I was introduced to Meadow Kids. They kindly sent these two beautiful craft items for me to review: Fairies & Teddy Bears – Stamp & Scenes and Mini Stencils. Both come with gorgeous packaging and a well designed box set to store the items. My daughter totally loves it. Now she can place these box sets neatly on the shelves and take it out when she need it.
Mini Stencils
These mini stencils are suitable from aged 3 onwards. It comes with 1 booklet of mini stencils, 5 coloured pencils, 6 card & envelopes, 1 pencil sharpener and 1 design booklet. Inside the mini stencil booklet, there are 8 soft plastic stencils which consists of farm animals, circus shapes, wild animals, sea life, common shape, letters & symbols. The stencils can be easily removed from the booklet to use. Once done with the stencils, just simply slot it back into the ring binder. It also comes with a design booklet which consists of 20 pages of decorated border sheets.
There are a few more weeks to the World Cup 2014 Brazil big kick off! Are you watching it or it is not your cup of tea? Mr C is a big fan of football! So you can imagine he can’t wait to grab a bottle of beer and scoff down some party food while watching England playing!

My son who is six years old, which is slightly younger than the recommended age 8 – 12, was able to create his own loop bands with minimal help! My son loves them and so does my 4 year old daughter!

Last Friday, I received a letter from school that there will be an Easter Bonnet competition. My son loves to get involved in each of the school activities and so we decided to make one. I have to be honest that I always love to recycle their crafts as much as possible. I did a bonnet hat for Ms C and won a prize before but I couldn’t find it. So we had to start again.

Have you ever thought of using Duck Tape to create a bracelet, a belt or maybe a handbag? It does sound crazy but there is so much you can do with Duck Tape besides using it to temporarily fix things around the house or garden! Take a look at their website for more inspiration and fun ideas! Duck Tape is made from a durable polyethylene film combined with cotton, with a high tack natural rubber adhesive. It is tough and strong but it is also easy to tear. Each colour roll is 48 mm wide and 9.1 metres long. The initial UK Duck Tape colours range comprises 15 solid colours and designs. We have received a pink piggy bank, zig zag pink, green clover, white snowflake, red fire engine and penguin invasion. The colours are bright and very attractive. Personally, I love the penguin invasion. The design is so cute that I want to use it to tape around my door frame!
