Easter Craft with Baker Ross and PG Tips

7 April 2014 by Eileen

Yesterday, we invited friends over to celebrate my ‘25’ birthday with my homemade M&M cake and PG tips tea while kids had fun making Easter crafts!

mm in cake

This is my first time attempt at making an M&M cake with M&Ms inside the cake and chocolate fingers around it.  Misjudging the amount of chocolate fingers I’d need, I had to send Mr C out to buy more boxes of chocolate fingers to fill in the gaps!

What better way to have cake than to have a nice cup of tea with it.  PG tips had sent me these three new flavours: Aromatic Spice & Mint, Pure Green and Smooth Red Bush & Vanilla.  Each of these boxes contains 20 pyramid bags.  After adding hot water, I left the tea bag in for two minutes to let it brew and the tea colour changed to a lovely dark reddish brown hue.  Aromatic Spice & Mint tea is quite strong and quite a different cup of tea.  The smell is gorgeous but not something we would choose.  We all preferred the green tea and the red bush & vanilla.  They are very smooth, refreshing and definitely goes well with my cake!

While we enjoyed our tea, all the kids were kept busy working on their Easter craft!  Baker Ross has kindly sent us a box of Easter crafts to keep our kids busy and demonstrate their creativity.  Inside the box, they given us Design An Egg Candle Kit; Chick & Bunny Gift Bag, Easter Sponge Set, Bright Pipe Cleaners Value Pack, Mini Bird Nests, Pastel Oval Craft Boxes, Easter Sprinkles, Easter Grass, 3D Mosaic Easter Craft Kits and Easter Gift Box Kits.

Baker Ross Easter Craft Ideas

They made Chick & Bunny gift bags, decorated the egg candles & gift boxes and used pipe cleaners to make a chick for their nests.  Later, we added the Easter grass into the gift boxes and placed sweeties inside.  All kids felt that it was quite hard to decorate the egg candle without smearing the paint everywhere over their hands and clothing!

After the crafts, we played Catchphrase board game and Ravensburger Junior Labyrinth board game.  Look out for a new giveaway next month to win the Catchphrase board game!  We had a great day and all the kids got to bring home their own Easter crafts!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

Fantastic cake! I’ve made one with flakes instead of chocolate fingers and had to go shopping twice for more -unbelievable how many it takes. Thanks so much for entering #Bakeoftheweek
