Ticket to Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill
On day two, we walked from our hotel to the ticket booths at the Roman Forum just after 10.30am. It was straightforward to locate and there were hardly any queues at all. We showed them our daughter’s disability card at the ticket booth and they offered us a disabled ticket and carer tickets for free. EU children under 18 can get free entry. Hence we only paid 18 euros for one adult.
We Went To Rome, Italy
Last week, we took an early flight via Birmingham Airport and departed for Rome. The airport staff are always great with people with disabilities or travelling with young families. We were grateful that we were fast-tracked through most of the queues and went straight to security. At the gate, I do hate it when we have to take the shuttle bus to board the plane. It always takes so long to get everyone onboard and getting a visually impaired child up those metal stairs in bright light with loud engines running is not easy.
We Went To Diddly Squat Farm Shop
This trip was quite an impulsive decision we made after I saw our close friends go there for a burger. It was always one of the places we wanted to visit if we were heading down south, but we never had a chance to drive nearby.
It was a Friday morning during the school holiday and we decided to make a special trip to visit this place with the intention of stopping on the way back to visit a nearby national trust for an hour before heading home. It took us approximate 1 hour 40 minutes (11.15am) to reach the place and we were directed to the overflow car park by the worker. There were already rows and rows of cars parked up.

DMZ and Ganghwa Island Day Tour
On Day 6 of our South Korea trip, we went on a DMZ and Ganghwa Island day tour which we booked via the Klook app. When we first booked this trip, we were unsure if this was the same DMZ trip as we had previously booked. Anyway, after booking it, we realised that this DMZ trip is on the other end of South Korea – Peace Observatory in Ganghwa island. Hence we booked another proper DMZ tour.
Samoyed Cafe Winters Village, Seoul
One of the things we wanted to do for my daughter was to visit a raccoon cafe and a dog cafe. Samoyed Cafe ‘Winters Village’ is one of the more established dog cafes in Seoul we found reviews on various websites. They have an Instagram account and it is easy to find them via Google Maps.
We went to South Korea
After five long years of not having a family holiday, we finally packed and headed off to South Korea for eight days. It has always been my dream place to visit because I love watching K-dramas and wanted to experience their life there.

Best Places For Malaysian Families To Live
Malaysia is a country that offers a variety of things to see and do. It is one of the reasons why it has become a popular place for ex-pats. Unfortunately, not everything in the country is suited to family life, which means that residents with young children will need to think carefully about where they choose to live.
Parents will have to think about schooling opportunities, safety, and job security when finding a house. Fortunately, the places listed below are considered some of the best places for Malaysian families to live.
A Day Trip to Marina Bay Sands Singapore
Last month, I went back to Singapore to visit family and it had been ages since I last stepped foot in Marina Bay Sands. It must be 5 years ago when I went with my husband. A lot of my friends and family told me that I must visit Marina Bay Sands as they have so many things to eat and do. A particularly close friend of mine told me that it is her Saturday place to hang out with her family. So before we left for the UK, my sister took us there for dinner at Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine and we managed to squeeze in a few activities.
Haw Par Villa Hell’s Museum 10 Courts of Hell
One of the highlights of Haw Par Villa Hell’s museum in Singapore is their infamous 10 Courts of Hell. We Chinese believe that in the afterlife, we will get judged by our sins and punishments evolved as ancient civilisations shared their cultures across time and space.
My True Ghost Story – Japan Hotel
This is my second supernatural encounter in a hotel, but this time, the location was in Osaka. Before I go into details, why not check out my post on Chinese superstitions entering hotel room.
This happened in 16 May 2010; my sister-in-law, husband and I went to Japan for a holiday. On this occasion, my sister-in-law stayed in one room by herself, whilst my husband and I were in another room. It was a very compact room, but it had everything we needed. The moment you open the door, there was the landing and a toilet on our left. Then there was a double bed and a small table with books near the window. The room was bright and well decorated. I was very surprised to see a range of holy books displayed on the table. I did not look into the details but I’m pretty sure they were the Shinto holy book and bible.

With this fun fridge kitted out on his table, it will not only provide quick and easy access to drinks, but it also looks really smart in his gaming room.
