Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win is a never-ending money ladder British game show hosted by Ant & Dec and it was first shown in January 2022. Even though the third season has just finished showing on ITV, you can continue to enjoy the game by playing the official board game by Ginger Fox. It comes with everything you need to get going!
It is suitable for ages 8 and onwards and for two players or more to play in teams. This game comes with a rule sheet, limitless money ladder, 2 score trackers, a cash-out gold button piece, 2 answer dials and 262 cards (question cards and Life Builder cards). The limitless money ladder scroll has a tendency to roll back up when rolled out flat so you will need something like a paperweight to weigh it down.
The game is very straightforward to play by answering questions and banking at the right time. In the rule sheet, there are a few QR codes to scan to learn how to play, access the digital Life Builder questions and access the Life & Bank Tracker.
To set up, either hang the scroll or place it in the middle of the table within reach of all the players. Split the players into two teams. Each team will receive an answer dial and score tracker. The Lifeline cards (More Than, Take Two, Range and Odd Or Even) are split into two decks and one pile for each team.
Place the score trackers on opposite sides of the money ladder scroll at the gold starting space indicated. Then place the gold cash-out button within reach of all the players. Place the Life Builder question cards within reach if you don’t have internet access to the digital version. Next, separate the Limitless Win cards into three piles – blue (level 1), yellow (level 2) and red (level 3), which you will use for Stage Two. If you are not accessing the digital version, you will need a pen, paper and a timer.
For Stage One, it is a life building stage where you need to answer as many questions as possible within the time limit. Each correct answer will grant your team lives to use in Stage Two of the game. You can play digitally or via the cards provided.
I prefer to use the digital Life Builder as it comes with questions and helps to track the lives. If you don’t have internet access, you can use the Life Builder question cards that are provided.
For this round, we find it difficult to play as the players can not confer the answer within the team. Also, the individual has to answer the question correctly before moving on to the next player within the team. If the player answers incorrectly, he/she will get a new question. This round only lasts 1 minute. It is quite a short time, especially for non-quizzers. Each correct answer gets five lives.
For Stage Two, it gets slightly complicated. Players have to use their answer dial to select their answers to the questions. The questions get more and more difficult when players progress up the Money Ladder. Look out for the colour zone on the money ladder as it matches the colours on the Limitless Win question cards.
Additionally, look out for the white line on the money ladder. If the team passes a white line, the team draws the top card from their Lifeline deck. Each team can only hold one Lifeline card at a time. The Lifeline cards are Range, More Than, Odd Or Even and Take Two. Each card explanation can be found on the rule sheet. The winner is the team that banks the most money in total across the rounds played.
I think this game is a great party game as it will get everyone involved – the more, the merrier. The questions are very challenging and got all of us thinking.
We all enjoyed playing this game. The game is well made and I would recommend this game. Love board games? Read our review on Taskmaster, PopMaster, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Richard Osman’s House of Games. All these games are available to buy from GingerFox.co.uk and online.
