To celebrate the launch of Num Noms Series 4.2, we were invited to get festive in the kitchen and bake some cookies! We were sent the new series 4.2 mystery packs along with a Christmas stocking and a jar full of delicious ingredients for this Festive Baker Challenge. It has been awhile since we blogged about Num Noms. Now they have released even more characters that were inspired by sweet foods and flavours, such as donuts, fro-yo and cookies!
The new mystery pack comes in a cute pot that is great as a Christmas stocking filler. Inside the pot, it contains one scented Num in a variety of flavours and one Nom with flavoured glitter lip gloss or scented nail polish. Nums are the outer, soft, squishy, hollow characters, and nestles on top of Noms. Noms are the inner, hard-shelled characters.
As you can see, we have Gigi Gelato Nums, Berry Blizzard Nums and Nana Cream Pie Num. As for the Noms, we have Razzy Polish-It, Blueberry Polish-It, Nana Polish-It, S’mores Polish-It and Blue Razz Polish-It. Don’t they look gorgeous! They will be loved by many fans! We do love the Special Edition S’mores Polish-It glitter nail polish! We can’t get enough of the bling!
Of course, this was a Festive Baker Challenge and we were provided a jar full of delicious ingredients to bake cookies! We love cookies especially as they are Santa’s favourite snack. We have even saved the last one for Santa!
First, we beat the butter until it is soft and then added a medium size egg. Next, we poured in the jar filled with ingredients and mixed it well. This was our first time using this jar of ingredients and we made quite a mess! But I do love the jar as we can reuse it again to store cookies!
Next, we divided the dough into 12 portions of big balls and left the balls in the fridge for 45 minutes before we baked it. It didn’t take long to bake. Soon the whole house was filled with a delicious aroma and we had a lot of yummy cookies! Both my children love eating the cookies but I did find them too sweet.
