Get Winter-ready with Armor All

23 December 2016 by Eileen

Get Winter-ready with Armor All! As the weather is plunging down to icy cold, it is always important to keep your car in tip-top condition. Last week, we had a flat tyre and I realised that it had been a while since we checked our tyre condition and body works. I was so lost in the middle of a countryside road but luckily with mobile data, I was able to reach my husband to get his advice! So don’t caught out like me and get your car ready for winter!

The experts from Armor All who have more than 50 years experience of keeping cars in tip-top condition have offered some great advice to ensure your car is fully prepared for the colder months. From freezing mornings to winter grime, they have the advice and solutions for every seasonal car need.

Dealing with misty mornings

During winter, the build-up of condensation reduces visibility on windows and windscreens, making it harder to drive safely. A quick solution is to carry Anti-Mist Wipes, which prevent mist or fog from forming onto the glass surface. Their Demist Pad also keeps things clear.

This tub of anti-mist wipes come with an opening top cap. It is easy to use and keeps the wipes moist. After using the wipes, I find that I don’t need to use the front demisting fan as much as I used to so I am really pleased with it.

Protecting against the elements

Keeping glass clear is vitally important. Shield for Glass is specially formulated to repel rain, dirt and snow from your windscreen, essential for the winter months. It forms a non-stick protective barrier against the elements and delivers unparalleled water-beading, dramatically increasing visibility.

I have received a tub of Glass Wipes that are great for inside and outside windows! I love the design of the tub that is easy to use and keeps the wipes moist. After using the wipes, my windows were sparkly clean!

Fight the freeze

You may be in a rush to get going, but forcing a frozen car door open can potentially damage the rubber seal. Try using a special product, such as Armor All Door Seal Wipes, which prevents doors from sticking to seals in cold weather. It fits conveniently in your glove box and can be used on doors, boots and sunroofs.

Keep it clean

Mud, rain, snow and salt all take their toll on your car’s appearance. Don’t be tempted to use harsh detergents, which can scratch and damage. A specially-formulated car wash, like their heavy duty product, is no match for winter grime and dirt and will ensure your car looks its best.

To earn his pocket money, Mr K is here using the Wash & Wax solution to keep the car waxed as he washes! It is very easy to use and the car looks great! The solution does not produce bubbles and does not feel greasy. After using it on the car, it is easy to wash away and the car looked very shiny.

Need a hand to clean the roof of your car? Then this Telescopic Flow Thru Brush will be able to give you a helping hand. I like that you are able to extend the length of the brush and control the on/off by the switch. This can be attached to any universal hose and it is ready to use. The handle comes with a well-padded cover to make it more comfortable to use it. The water only flows into the middle of the brush which is slightly disappointing for me. I would very much prefer it to spray all over the brush. But overall it did the job well by brushing all the dirt from the surfaces.
