Wubble Bubble Ball Review

1 August 2015 by Eileen

This summer, we have been bouncing, throwing, kicking and catching the Wubble Bubble ball! This ball is made from a super-thermo-stretch-tacular material which moves and looks like a bubble but plays like a ball. They are suitable for children aged six years and over and can be found in leading retailers nationwide and Amazon. This is available in three different colours: blue, purple and pink.

Inside this box, it comes with:

  • Air pump with nozzle
  • Wubble ball
  • Inflation guide

This pump requires 4 D-size batteries which are not included in the pack. To inflate the Wubble ball, you need to insert the nozzle into the hole of the valve. It is quite easy to insert the nozzle in but if you find the air is not pumping in, it is worth to pull out the valve and check the hole.

We had a replacement Wubble ball as the first one had a leak on the side of the ball.

It takes a little while to inflate the ball but I’m pleased I didn’t have to blow it up myself! I did not inflate it to the maximum size of three feet just in case it got too big and it burst! The smaller the ball is, the stronger it should be.

Although the Wubble ball can be chucked, kicked, bounced, you have to ensure that it doesn’t come into contact with any sharp objects. The Wubble is fine to play with on the beach but be wary of shells and sticks, the sand is likely to stick to the Wubble ball but it can easily be cleaned. If you play in a small area, you have to be careful with any furnishings around!

Update after one week of play: the ball has started leaking from the rim but it is a slow leak that we can top up when we want to play again.

When you’re finished playing, just deflate the Wubble with the deflation tool included and stick it in a drawer for next time. The Wubble Bubble Ball can also be purchased separately, without the pump for RRP £9.99. For stockist details, please call 01702 200660 or visit www.vividtoysandgames.co.uk.

I have made a video to show you the items and what we think about this ball! Watch it here: https://youtu.be/p3a_dnc4BxQ

This looks fun, I think my kids would love this, shame about the leaks though!
