Thank Gosh It’s Monday

20 April 2015 by Eileen

Do you love or hate Mondays? Mondays are often the most hated day of the week. I used to hate them as I worked 4.5 days a week as an Operating Theatre Nurse. Normally, I worked during office hour and occasionally did shift work. It meant I had to wake up at 7am to get to work at 8am. I have never been a morning person and after having a weekend rest, Monday was not my favourite day at work. More things seemed to go wrong too like making sure there were beds available for the patients, surgery instruments, etc. But since I am a SAHM, I now love Mondays!

The reason is that both my children are in school. After the morning school run, I will have the chance to catch up with the endless housework to keep my house sparkly clean! It is a day where everything is in order and neatly in place, when the noise level goes down to zero. Yes, it does sound depressing but sometimes we need that downtime after a busy weekend. So how would you describe your Mondays? Are Mondays your favourite day?

If you have watched the recent The SpongeBob™ Movie: Sponge Out of Water, you might have seen SpongeBob declares his love for the start of the week via a song entitled, ‘Thank Gosh It’s Monday’. If not, watch it here. It was fun! https://youtu.be/5BV85WRsIyo

Now I am going to nominate Anna from In The Playroom to tell me her part of #TGIM activity to describe why they like Mondays. Do check out for her post next Monday.

Did you know that they have recently launched the SpongeBob HeroPants video game too? It is a third-person action platform game with a colourful blend of combat, traversal, exploration and puzzle-solving that makes it enjoyable and accessible for players of all ages. There are six playable characters to choose from, and each has the ability to transform into their uniquely fashioned super-powered champion from the movie to reach new heights and defeat the bad dreams plaguing Bikini Bottom. As the lost pages of the movie’s magical book plunges them into new eras in time, SpongeBob and his pals will have to upgrade their skills, survive boss battles and discover the secrets in altered versions of their town to find their way home again. The video game is out on Nintendo DS/3DS, PlayStation Vita (cross-compatible with PlayStation TV) & PS3, and Xbox 360. Do check them out!

Disclosure: We will receive a SpongeBob Heropants gift in exchange of this post. Images used with permission.
