Exploring the Nature in Autumn

18 September 2013 by Eileen 7 Comments

This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Little Adventures Challenge’ in partnership with Barny, the bear-shaped snack providing a little discovery in every bite. Exploring the Nature in Autumn.
The intrepid Ms C loves to go exploring.  However, short on time today and without the benefit of daddy C chauffeuring her around, she had to make do with exploring the garden. She was on the hunt for garden wildlife and before long, she spotted some sparrows hiding in the trees through her binoculars.  Then a few brazen pigeons swooped in and sat on the fence, probably looking for a free lunch.
Ms C then whipped out her magnifying glass to look for any bugs in and around the bushes.  She managed to find a huge spider eating lunch on her web!  Tasty! Errr…. Following her cue cards, she also looked for butterflies and ladybirds but after considerable hunting, she could not find any.
All that hunting made Ms C hungry and as any intrepid adventurer should know, they should always take supplies!  Her ‘supplies’ today was the delicious Barny the Chocolate Bear!  Yum yum!
Barny is are available in two flavours: chocolate and milk.  It is a sponge cake with hidden milk or chocolate flavoured filling.  They come in a packet of 5 single packs which is great to take out in a lunch box or as a quick snack.  They are not suitable for people who have allergies to wheat, gluten, soya, milk, eggs or nuts.
Our family enjoyed eating it!  It is yummy and tasty with the filling.  The sponge is soft and the chocolate/milk is not runny.  They are not overly sweet which is great for my liking.  Each portion/bear is nice size for a child to eat.  I love the idea of having them individually wrapped as I can put it in their lunch box or they are great for picnic.
Disclosure: We have received two packets of Barny World to do this competition and review.
