Recently, I came across the Bake in Black cookbook which was written by a musician and a food journalist in East London. They started started life as a blog from a kitchen and took a song or an album title which then inspired them to create a recipe. It draws influence from the world of rock and heavy metal to create awe-inspiring edible tributes in the kitchen. There are more than 60 sweet indulgences in this cookbook.

My Desert Island Discs Playlist, assuming there are batteries!
Some of you may know that I love Korean TV drama and their K-pop music genre. So please forgive me if I bore you with my huge selection of K-pop. In case you’re wondering, K-pop means Korean Pop music!
I have been tag by Sally Whittle to do my Desert Island Discs playlist – read her choices here. I have to admit that I had not heard of some of her song choices before so it is nice to discover new music.
Shrek The Musical Boardway
If you have not watched Shrek before, read this to understand it better: Shrek is a grouchy, terrifying green ogre who loves the solitude in his swamp, finds his life interrupted when many fairytale characters are exiled into his swamp by order of the fairytale-hating Lord Farquaad. Shrek tells them that he will go ask Farquaad to send them back. Farquaad tortures the Gingerbread Man into giving the location of the remaining fairytale creatures until his guards rush in with something he has been searching for: the Magic Mirror. He asks The Mirror if his kingdom is the fairest of them all but is told that he is not even a king. To be a king he must marry a princess and is given three options, in a parody of The Dating Game: Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Fiona, from which he chooses Fiona, who is locked in a castle tower guarded by lava and a dragon. Shrek fights a fearsome dragon, rescues the princess and learns that real friendship and true love aren’t only found in fairy tales.

Headphone Review: Black Bassbuds
It has been three weeks since I started using these stylish and beautiful Black Bassbuds earphones. They are comfortable and the quality of the sound is excellent. They make a great upgrade to the usual manufacturer supplied headphones found with your phone or iPod etc.
BassBoomz Bluetooth Speaker
Technology has improved so much over the years. There is always something new in the market. Mr C is always interested in his sound system. We bought a home cinema speaker bar and upgraded to full surround sound. He even bought a clip on speaker for his laptop to get better sound and some fancy noise-cancelling headphones for travelling so we have embraced a lot of technologies in this household.
Making Music
Making Music by using four wine glasses (this is all we had) and a jug of water. We filled the glasses with different quantities of water. Then I asked the children to wet their finger tips and rub against the rim of the glasses. It makes a beautiful sound.
