CD Review: Teen Beach Movie Soundtrack

20 July 2013 by Eileen 1 Comment

Teen Beach Movie is a Disney Channel Original Movie premiere on 19 July 2013, on the Disney Channel, starring Ross Lynch (Austin & Ally) as Brady, and Disney Channel newcomer Maia Mitchell as McKenzie. They are teen surfing sweethearts riding the last wave of summer together which mysteriously takes them into a classic beach party movie, Wet Side Story. Now they must try to find a way to return to present day, but their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline.

Teen Beach Movie Soundtrack

Personally I have not watched the movie but I received a CD to do a review.  There are 12 songs plus 3 bonus tracks. The tracks are:

  1. Oxygen
  2. Surf crazy
  3. Cruisin’ for a bruisin’
  4. Falling for Ya
  5. Meant to be
  6. Like me
  7. Meant to be (Reprise 1)
  8. Can’t stop singing
  9. Meant to be (Reprise 2)
  10. Surf’s up
  11. Coolest Cats in Town
  12. Surf Crazy Finale

Bonus tracks:

  1. Cruisin’ for a bruisin’ (Instrumental Version)
  2. Falling for Ya (Instrumental Version)
  3. Surf’s up (Instrumental Version)

I personally love track number two, Surf Crazy, which makes me want to dance with my children! They love the music. It is upbeat and my little girl loves to pretend she is singing! The songs are fun, catchy and retro and are a perfect soundtrack for the summer.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
