Follow the return of iconic 80s game show Catch Phrase, the ITV has enjoyed peak viewing figures approaching 5 million a night and secured a legion of avid fans old and new. Even both of my children enjoy watching it! It is hosted by Stephen Mulhern and long standing mascot, Mr Chips.

You might be wondering: what is a bridal door game? It is a series of games played when the groom arrives to pick up his bride on the wedding day. The bridesmaids give the groom and his group of “brothers” (best men/groomsmen) a list of tasks and challenges to complete before he is allowed to fetch his bride. Ravensburger Ringo Flamingo is a very interesting concept. The aim of the game is to save the flamingos from the snapping crocodiles lurking in the water! The player who can flip the most lifebuoys over the flamingos and collect the most seashell chips wins! So get ready and save those poor flamingos!
Build Your Own Den with pl-ug
In these modern times, we all try hard to give our children the best and of course, provide them with a fun childhood. At times, Mr C will build a den with the kids and have their mini party while I cook lunch/dinner. I am so pleased to come across pl-ug (the den expert) at the recent Toy Fair. Now I won’t need to look for my missing pegs or clips as they have proper kit to help them build a proper canopy den!
LOGO Board Game Review
Do you have family or friends coming around for tea or a gathering? If so, try getting out a board game to involve everyone and have fun. We tend to do this instead of turning on the PlayStation or TV as it’s more interactive and sociable.

I do find that Ravensburger do some very challenging board games. Last year, we reviewed the Ho Ho Ho! Santa’s Rooftop Scramble Game, which is quite complicated and challenging.

The Best of TV & Movies Review
What do you normally do after a big Christmas dinner? Our usual routine is to get everyone playing board games or video games. This Christmas, we had the Best of TV & Movies from Drumond Park to play with.
The Gruffalo: Word Rhyming Game Review
The Gruffalo is a story about a mouse who goes on an adventurous journey through the deep, dark woods and is confronted by Fox, Owl and Snake who all want to eat him. To save himself, he makes up a story about an imaginary Gruffalo to scare them off. It is a well-written book for children with rhyming text by Julia Donaldson and fantastic illustrations by Axel Scheffler bringing the story to life. This game is from University Games. It is suitable for ages 4 years old and upward with 2 to 4 players.
Heroes of the City Movie
We recently discovered the Heroes of the City app and got in touch to review for them. Prior to that, we had not heard nor watched them before. For those of you who have not heard of Heroes of the City, they are: A children’s television cartoon about rescue vehicles in a small town where everybody gets to be a hero! In the show, you get to meet Pauli Police Car and Fiona Fire Engine as they help the townspeople find thieves, put out fires and solve crime that happens in the otherwise quiet town. You will also get to know Calamity Crow, the most misunderstood bird in town. The cartoon is for children aged 3 – 7.
Woolly and Tig App Review
Ms C has been ill for two days now. Luckily, today I was able to download the brand new Woolly and Tig App. As part of the launch, Brands With Influence has teamed with Evolution PR and UKMums.tv and recruited 50 bloggers to test drive the new app. Ms C loves the Woolly and Tig show from Cbeebies and hoped this app would keep her company. We had also reviewed their First Day DVD, One Step at a Time DVD, sticker and story book previously.
Angry Birds: The Great Egg Hunt Book
Angry Birds: The Great Egg Hunt book is suitable for ages 5 plus. It was released on 29th August 2013 and is published by Egmont. It is hardback containing about 24 pages. The font is easy to read. This is an activity book with press out pieces to play an Angry Birds style game.
Drumond Park Mask ‘n’ Ask Review
Mask ‘n’ Ask from Drumond Park is a board game to guess who am I. It is for two to four players and for aged around 7 and above. There are 30 beautifully designed double-sided masks: colourful animal faces on one side, and jokey-looking human characters on the reverse. On the animal side, kids might find a cow, rabbit or elephant, for instance. And on the human side, the mask maybe a policeman, doctor or pilot.
The Trash Pack Series 5 has landed in UK!
Trashies in Toilets! If your children is a collector of trash pack, you may know that this new series 5 the dustbins have been replaced with nauseating yellow toilets. There are over 100 new characters to collect and trade, kids will have endless amounts of filthy fun. Each disgusting character is hidden inside the yellow plastic toilets! The characters are very well made, soft rubbery and colourful. They are suitable for 4 years and above. Now Mr K has added to his collection from series 4! Mr K likes to get them all out to play with them at the same time.
