Angry Birds: The Great Egg Hunt Book

8 December 2013 by Eileen 4 Comments

Angry Birds: The Great Egg Hunt book is suitable for ages 5 plus.  It was released on 29th August 2013 and is published by Egmont.  It is hardback containing about 24 pages.  The font is easy to read.  This is an activity book with press out pieces to play an Angry Birds style game.
The book is split into two parts as you open it.  On the left hand side is a paper book which shows the location of their precious stolen eggs!  All you have to do is follow the map, solve the clues and build and destroy your way through this book to find their booty.
On the right hand side of the book there are 6 pages made from foam.  Press them out and create your own Angry Birds structure.
The pieces are very easy to press out but be careful when children assemble them.  It is quite easy to bend as it is made from foam.  We didn’t exactly follow the instructions as I let Mr K use his own imagination to build his own tower.  He then used his Angry Bird to shoot down the pig.  It is not as easy as playing via the app as we have to rebuild our own tower.  It is fun as the children can benefit from using their imagination to build their own tower and it is good practice for hand-eye coordination.
The book’s RRP is £14.99 which is more than I would pay for.  But for any future engineer or Angry Bird fan, they would definitely love this.
Disclosure: We have received the book to do an honest review.
