Hatton Adventure Farm Family Day Out

Hatton Adventure Farm is located in the Warwickshire countryside with many family activities to offer for young and old. We all had a great time there and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sky Side Zoomtastic to Birmingham Airport

This Summer at Birmingham Airport, a fun and exciting children’s adventure has launched to give the thousands of youngsters a fun and engaging experience before they fly, and  peace for the parents!  We were fortunate to get a chance to experience it without having to fly!

The Sky Side experience is free to join and will start from the moment the child arrives at check-in and ends when they arrive at a themed Sky Zone.  Each child will get a booklet to complete the simple and fun mission.  Look out for Zoom!

Top 10 Panoramic Views of London

I’ve been fortunate to live in London and whilst there, I did try to make a regular trip to go and explore this great city. To get a better vista, why not try ascending one of these fabulous attractions for sweeping panoramic views of the city:

Dudley Zoo Gardens

Cravendale Milk is rewarding their fans for drinking more of their good stuffs with visits to zoos to once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Join them today and they will welcome you with a 2 for 1 voucher for a great day out. Collect 3 codes to start your first adventure! Love Cravendale sent us to the ZOO! Dudley Zoo is a zoo with hundreds of animals set around an 11th century castle incorporating the world’s largest single collection of Tecton buildings and the country’s only vintage chairlift – all sited on a 40-acre wooded hillside with a rich geological history.

This morning was such a gorgeous day.  We set off from Lichfield which took us 50 minutes to reach the Zoo. The car park is just next to the Zoo but there is quite a walk if you come late. The fee is £3.50 per day which is quite reasonable.

Meeting Mike the Knight at Warwick Castle

We had a fab time meeting Mike the Knight at Warwick Castle. I would like to thank HIT Entertainment Ltd who organised the trip and Warwick Castle for providing the event. This is our children’s first visit to the glorious Warwick castle and to learn about medieval history, magic, myth and adventure.  It only took us 50 minutes to reach the castle from Lichfield.

#MAD Day Out with Legoland Windsor and Tots100

We were so lucky to win tickets to join all the MAD finalists at Legoland on June 16.  We went there last year and we were all really excited as to go again. This time it was even more special as not only did we have VIP tickets, we were invited to watch the preview showing of the Legends of Chima 4D movie. This is a short family movie that incorporates 4D effects, such as water, wind, snow and fire. Yes, fire! We were shocked by the heat of fire but it made the experience all the more interesting.

Lichfield Bower 2013

Lichfield Bower is the oldest traditional festival held every spring bank holiday.  It is about 800 years old.  This year it was held on 27 May 2013.  We have been living in Lichfield for five years and unfortunately have always missed it due to going away each time.  This year, we made an effort not to miss this specular festival.

Sealife Centre – SpongeBob Squarepants 4-D Premiere Event

Last week, we entered the National Sealife Centre Facebook competition and we won family tickets to attend the SpongeBob Squarepants 4-D Premier Event. I was so excited! We were late and missed part of the VIP tour. Luckily, we caught them in time before they shut the main door. We walked around the designated route and saw a lot of different types of sea creatures. It was excellent. Both of my children will amazed by it all. Soon we reached the 4D cinema, and we donned the 3D glasses. The show is about 8 minutes long which I think it is a good length. If it was too long, I tend to get headaches from using the glasses or the children might not able to cope. It was quite a big cinema room with a lot of seating. The seats are big and comfortable. In no time, the show started.

West Midland Safari Park

Today, we went to visit the Wild Winter Safari, West Midland Safari Park thanks to moneysupermarket.com who gave us family tickets for us to do this review.  It didn’t take us long to reach the place as there were lot of signs.  We were greeted by friendly staff but unfortunately we weren’t allowed to upgrade our tickets to see Santa because they were fully booked until 4pm.

The Lichfield Guildhall’s Historic Prison Cells

The Lichfield Guildhall’s historic prison cells are open every Saturday until the end of September 2012. It is free entry. The refreshed displays were opened to the public by Lichfield City Council on April 11. The date marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Edward Wightman, one of the cell’s most well-known occupants. Wightman, an ale-house keeper from Burton-on-Trent, was the last man to be burned at the stake for Heresy in England in 1612. He would have made the journey from the Guildhall cells to meet his fate on the Market Square at the hands of the Sheriff.

Lichfield Food Festival 2012

Can’t believe it’s September, Summer is officially over! Today, we went to the Lichfield Food Festival located in the town centre.  We got to visit producers’ stalls and sample food in Lichfield Garrick’s Food Studio. Also you could try and buy fine wine from the Vineyard in the Sky in Lichfield Garrick’s Green Room Theatre Bar. Throughout Saturday and Sunday there will be an exciting range of free and paid-for celebrity chef displays and food demonstrations, including John Torode and Anthony Worrall Thompson.

M&M’s World Visit in London

M&M’s world is dedicated to the colourful fun of M&M’s®.  The store measures 35,000 square feet and is spread over four floors. It has an extensive range of M&M’s® chocolates and merchandise, including kitchenware, clothing, bedding, jewellery and glassware. It even has a giant wall of chocolate where you can create your own M&M’s® selection from over 100 choices.

This was our first time visiting the store. Both children were so excited to see so much chocolate around.  It was very clever to put the London Bus in the middle of the store. It looked great!
