We went to Wonderland!

26 August 2013 by Eileen

Last month, Mr C bought a deal through Groupon for a family ticket to Wonderland.  We are only 45 minutes drive away from Telford and he decided to buy it. My first impression is that everything is quite dated and needing a facelift. Most of the rides are free and suitable for younger children as they are quite gentle. It is quite a small park and we completed the park with rides within one hour.

Ms C hates walking until now and she sat on the pram for most of it. It was fine using the pushchair throughout the park but most of the paths are very stony and on a slope. You have to be careful if using a wheelchair or pram. We had lunch at the castle. The portion of the food is quite small for an adult meal but a decent amount for the children’s meal. The foods are mostly deep fried like fish fingers, cod and nuggets.  Inside the castle, there is a soft play area which is quite handy when it rains.

I think that the target age range for this park is toddlers to 6 year old.  I think older children might find it quite boring if they are not a fans of Alice in Wonderland, Snow White or Tinkerbell. Overall we had a fun day out and spent about half a day at Wonderland and also spent the other half of the day checking out the large town park and doing some shopping in the indoor shopping mall.

I’ve never heard of Wonderland but my Brother lives near Telford so I might have to check it out when we are down there again.

I never heard of this place, we went through Telford recently but might give it a go if we pass through there again, as it may be fun for the boys
